Missing you...
I miss you my 335i coupe...
Why did you stall on me... Why did your water pump fail... Why did your engine malfunction... Why o Why... Those cool to the touch paddle shifters...... That testosterone injected sport steptronic auto shifter... I miss the way you'd yell at me when I kicked down on you... But why... why did those belts have to break.... Why did that solenoids go bad... Why did you squeak when accelerating from 0 to 15mph... Why o why did you leave me hanging on a bridge while over heated... The two tow trucks that touched you... I was powerless to help you... I love you E92 335i... but you let me down.... When is the refreshed E92 335i coming out? I'll buy it again when they refresh it. 2010 335i? 2011 335i? 2012 335i? UPDATE: You guys are hilarious! the 2008 550i feels slower, but looks so much hotter because it has a aero kit on it. The car is DEFINITELY SLOWER. Don't listen to anyone who tells you a 550i can beat a 335i, all of you 335i owners can pwn a 335i ANY DAY, ANY SPEED RANGE. however... the 550i is sooo much sweeter in terms of luxury and refinement My 335i had active steering... This 550i does not. I have to say, I WAS IN LOVE WITH ACTIVE STEERING.... PROOF: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...5i+unstoppable BUT... now in the 550i I can state even more strong oppinions about this debate. Active Steer Pros and Cons: Pros: Active Steering helps you park in NYC faster and easier Active Steering enables you to switch lanes under 30 mph faster than you could without it. Active Steering will prevent you from steering hand-over-hand style allowing you to place and maintain your fingers on steering wheel paddles. Cons: Active Steering removes the "BMW Signiture Steering" feedback and response. The 550i's steering feels amazing. Its true, its a response I had forgotten since I once test drove a 2004 e46 325i coupe in South Carolina. That response is was made me fall in love with BMWs. When I bought the 335i coupe, I had test driven nothing, I just ordered it and paid for it. Now that I've moved on from the 335i (within 6 or 7 months of owning it), I made sure to test drive a lot of BMWs this time. I test drove the 7 extensively, the 535i and xi, the 335i sedan, the 328xi EXTENSIVELY since it was my loaner car for like 2 months... and a 325i which was a horror... The 328i and xi are a HUGE improvement over the 325i in response and refinement (amazingly 1 year later too)... and the X5... which was just not my kind of car since I have an x3 already. Back to 335i vs 550i I miss paddle shifters too. The 335i was a rocket, but I spent way too much time at the BMW service center providing my credit card for this and that, as well as doing my best to describe stupid crap going wrong with the car. So The 550i has provided a peace of mind. The car is much less likely to over heat and leave me stranded again. Priceless.
