Another Yeti Jedi, SB6c custom build weighs in at 26.5lbs:
Not my truck in this photo, but this is how 90% of us haul our rigs around. Lots of shuttling And some evidence that I do ride my bike, as pretty as she looks :P

Nope, they are the Shimano Saint 4 piston calipers, with the 2 piece “ice tech” rotors. Almost went Hope, but scored these on a sale @ Chainreaction
That’s a nice steed you got there, yourself! Love the blue

Thanks. Thinking of passing it on to the wife and picking up the 5.5. I went with the 4.5 because i'm in FL and don't really need the travel. But as you've pointed out with the weight of your bike, there isn't much of a penalty for more travel these days. At least with bikes that pedal as well as these do.

Just a heads up, Five Ten shoes are 20% off right now. If you ride flat pedals and don't have a pair you're missing out! I run the Freerider EPS in the winter - they do a great job of keeping your feet dry and planted on the pedals.

Also made it by Yeti HQ for a quick tour of the new showroom and facility. Even got to see the employee's SB5 LR prototype tinker bikes. Good times! The trails out back of Yeti HQ are fairly steep requiring a capable climber but rather rowdy requiring plush and capable suspension. The techs prefer to climb on the SB5 but descend on the SB6. Boom! New model born for 2018.

Specialized Camber EVO. Last bike was an S-works Epic. Absolutely loved it, but it was a maintenance nightmare. "Delicate" basically. My Camber EVO is rock solid. Love it
Side note: I have a curt hitch for a 1-series if anyone in the Chattanooga TN area wants one. I had it on my 1 but took it off a few weeks later since I picked up an old Ridgeline - I use that for the bikes now. |
