How to keep the battery level when parking for 2 weeks
Will be out of town for 2 weeks, and don't want to see the battery gets discharged or running low. Since I'm living in a condo community, the parking space does not have any power outlet so cannot use a battery tender. Anyway I can still maintain the battery level during the period while we are on the long trip.

i dont think you will have a problem with 2 weeks.
during the pandemic my X3 sat unused for more than that without issues.

very true. 2 weeks is not to be worried about. If the weather is continously under freezing for entire 2 weeks, you might see some hesitancy when you start but don't think you have to be worried for 2 weeks.

I agree. Two weeks should not be an issue even with the slight draw of electronics.
Our local battery rep did mention that if you ever have a concern about your battery being healthy after sitting (or prior to sitting ) idle for an extended period of time, every so often use an external battery charger on a slow charge setting overnight. It will bring your battery up to full charge, which your alternator cannot do alone, and will work wonders for your car battery. |

Since I work from home, I often go 2-4 weeks without driving my X7. It has no problems with battery drain.
During the early days of the pandemic, my wife's X3 stayed parked in our garage for several months without being driven, and that's on an old battery, it had no issues. Keep in mind the BMW computer doesn't let the batter charge to 100%, it'll regulate it to around 60-80% SOC. So even on long drives or long idles, it will not fully charge the battery. You'll need an external charger to fully charge it. |

Should be fine as long as the battery is in its first 5 years and isn't regularly subjected to temperature extremes or severe service such as deep discharge, both which accelerate battery aging. Beyond 5 years, you want to pay a bit more attention to the battery's performance in starting the car, and whether it seems a bit sluggish after being parked for a couple weeks. Battery designers excel at ensuring batteries crap out at the worst possible time in order to optimize your inconvenience. If/when you suspect your battery is a bit off, you can take it to a dealer or auto store for analysis, or you can buy a battery analyzer for about $100 and do it yourself.
