INTAKE
So I know there are only two intakes for the n20, the ER and the AFE and only one intake for the n26, the ER. Do you guys know if any other companies are gonna come out with intakes for the n26? I'm not too sure about the ER intake as I see no gains.

Sometimes I question their dyno graphs, you see the graph for their throttle body spacer? 10hp / 7ft-lb seems a little too good to be true for this sort of mod, but who knows.
Gruppe M has an intake for our car but when it comes down to it, if the OE system is as efficient as can be, no real gains will be had from this mod. These days, manufacturers often do great jobs at OE intakes so only real upsides can be cooler air, a bit more responsiveness, sound, etc. rather than peak gain. There may be a potential system that can gain power but I don't think the intake is the bottle neck in the OE motor system. I do want to pick up that aFe intake scoop though

I'm about to receive my AFE intake and the Scoop.
As soon as I get it installed I'll post a video of the sound. The GruppeM intake is absurdly expensive for my taste... Very beautiful and give the engine bay a less empty space, but VERY EXPENSIVE for just an intake... For now I have the car tuned, with catless downpipe, and with the AFE intake and the AFE or Eisenmann exhaust I'm expecting some more hp's to come... |
