Odd about the 3rd row seating. In the uk it's definitely available and infant reduced on MSport, price on SE circa £1500 price MSport circa £950. Great spec, can read at home now.

I don't think that is correct. The production has already started. I am talking to a dealer here in california to place an order and he is telling me late september to early october for delivery.

Not really. We have orders accepted and scheduled for production, but I don't think it has started.

xline?
I ordered my first bmw ever. X5 2014 first allocation for my dealer. Fyi, they say early November for delivery. There are some legacy incentives you could have which expire 10/31 and the wont let the cars out of port before then.
Trying to decide if I should get the x line?? Main reason is the 19 orbit wheels all season They look awesome. Concern is Will they be as good as 18 in snow? Will i have any issues with rims/flats on the 19s? Our streets are not the best Will the ride comfort be drastically changed? Have only driven x5 w18s? Any input is appreciated to this first time owner, read tons of posts on here though. Ordered Graphite grey/mocha Xline Dynamic handling Premium Driver assistsnce plus Harmin kardon |

The xLine 19" light alloy grey wheels are just awesome. You will also see enhanced metal look front and rear with xLine. Standard running boards as well.
so, i am planing to purchase xLine for sure. I am not sure about the pros/cons of having 19s over 18s. What do you think of sparkling brown color with ivory white interior? |

I agree the orbit wheels are awesome. I like the brown color, however would avoid the white imterior. Search the posts in here. Many complain about jeans and other clothing rubbing off onto the leather. It happened in my wifes car as well. I would resist the temptstion. Mocha nappa looks nice if you do t mind paying for it. I am sticking w mocha dakota.
Does anyone know if the xline standard running boards stick far out. It is the only thing making me consider not getting the xline. Running boards are a pain, your pants get filthy from them, not to mention they increase drag and reduce performance every way possible. Can i take them off? This is one feature they dont give detail on and i couldnt deselt it when placing the factory order. |

It won't allow you to order 3rd row seating because you have the Space Saver spare checked. Uncheck that then it should allow you to get the 3rd row. I believe its the same problem with B&O. Have the dealer uncheck the HK system and you will be able to select the B&O. Hope that helps and that's going to be a bad ass X5!

In the US, we have the option to order the M Line either with ZSU Standard Suspension or as an upgrade, 2VF Adaptive M Suspension or 2VM. In Germany, this is a bit different: Every M Line comes with 2VF. The German order-guide allowed me to investigate what 2VF actually is. Basically, it has the same features offered with 2VM (Dynamic Damper Control and Rear Axle Air Suspension) which is part of the Dynamic Handling Package. Now here's the difference: 2VF has a stiffer setting. It is the "sporty 2VM". So when you opt for the Dynamic Handling Package with the M Line in the US, you will get the more "comfortable" 2VM instead of 2VF. As we know, the Dynamic Handling Package consists of 2VM and 2VP. There is an identical Package in Germany with the same content. This identical Package, however, is NOT available with the M Line. The Reason: The standard, more sporty 2VF which obviously causes a conflict with 2VM. So in Germany on the M Line, you will always get the sporty 2VF and have to order 2VP as a separate option. In the US, however, you can order the M Line with the Dynamic Handling Package and will get the same, less stiffer suspension - just like on any other Line when ordered with the Dynamic Handling Package. Our "disadvantage" is that we don't have the option to select the sportier suspension AND opt for 2VP Dynamic Performance Control + Active Role Stabilization sine 2VP is not a stand-alone option over here. |
