It looks like production is slated to start for the X7 LCI 08/2022, so as a '23 model and sticking to the usual timeline.

Ha! I worked all the numbers already and not renting. I have 9 months left on lease. I have to take a warranty for 20k miles / $3,500, by 12/31 will have to pay an anticipated 35k over mileage at $9k, then 9 payments @ $950ea / $8,125. So if I kept the GLS till lease end, it would cost me $2,200 a month for 9 months. Soon as X7 comes in, dumping GLS and hated the SUV to boot. Ate tires and brakes for lunch, multiple leaks and not very reliable @ 57k on the clock. Had two GLS before this, much better quality.

When I drive it on fam dam road trips, I hate it in comfort and switch all to sport mode. I'll post a comparison to the X7 once I get it. FYI, last year of current GLS is '19, complete overhaul for 2020 to combat the X7. Will be out late this year. |

Try getting a bid from Carvana.com and see what they'd pay for it. I just sold a car through them, super easy, they pick it up from your house and bring a check. I expect the x7 to eat brakes and and tires too. |

I always found BMW's to be better road machines (you know the slogan). Therefore, I anticipate a lot less pitch and roll, etc. than the GLS, hence less wear on brakes and tires. Also this is a new gen, compared to the current antiquated GSL, so further testament to performance. Carvana wise, I don't own it, lease!

Carvava can still buy it. If they are willing to buy above the "buyout " price of the lease, you get the difference. If you are upside down, you need to write a check. it's worth comparing versus your other options and it literally takes 3 minutes to get an offer for your car on their website. Regarding tires/brakes. I think it will be like the gls. I talked to Pirelli and they said they love the premium car segment. They get homologated with the OEM, and they get the bulk of the aftermarket sales and premium cars need new tires every 18 months on average ! Brakes: Well it's about the same weight, braking energy usage should be the same to decelerate. It will come down to pad compound chosen for wear. |

I have a gls550 with active curve. I drive it HARD. It handles extraordinarily well for what it is, in my opinion.

Any of you long time BMW owners have any guesses what would be the approximate price increase for the 2020 X7 M50i compared to the current 2019 X7 x50i? Debating whether I should hold out for that.

My guess is that it won’t have a huge price increase, probably a few grand more than the current 50i.Were not talking about a drastically different package from the current 50i M Sport. The only big change will be the more powerful V8?IMO the suspension options will be exactly the same as the current 50i M Sport. If you really want the increase in HP then you should wait.

I agree this is probably the best interior review yet. It was also good to see a X7 with in Mineral white with the 757 wheels in Luxry trim. I think X7 looks really nice with this build.

The X7 50i base model already stars almost $20,000 more than the 40i. How much more of a gap can you really create, without making the 50i model a purely boutique vehicle for the rich? What I'm fearing is that they jack up the 50i by maybe $4,000 and then do the same to the 40i to keep the gap the same, with little to no new features. It's just too much. Oh, and also to point out, the new 50i engine is coming to multiple BMW models. So it will be interesting to see what price increases BMW applies to the various models and how much difference there is in the increases.
