It’s interesting and great news that no brake service/replacement was needed in the first 30,000 miles.
Makes me wonder if the extended warranty or maintenance plan is even needed, but I do know things tend to need more work once they get past initial warranty. Which they would keep it longer so we could see how it holds up. |

Nice to see the N63 8-cyl engine is doing well, at least this specimen. BMW's 8-cyl engines, including early versions of the N63, did not always have the best reputation for overall reliability when compared to their 6-cyl smaller siblings.

Ours has been mostly trouble-free so far through about 11k miles, just a couple small things. Every once in a while we’ll get a Driver Assistance Unavailable error while on the highway, with a pic pointing to some sensors on the rear bumper. Dealer unable to replicate of course. I’m also a little creeped out by the seat massage. If you have the radio off you can hear the air escape, it sounds like somebody behind my shoulder blowing into my ear lol
“...pfff...” Great car otherwise, really has been wonderful. I remember going to a private reveal event at a local winery when it was first coming out and I thought it was really goofy looking. Since then it’s grown on me a lot, looks proper mean with the blacked-out M trim. Really one of their best front ends imo |

they used winter tires and the original summer ones so technically they still have both sets but didn't replace either

BMW X7 is one of those rare cars that have been nearly perfect in both the intent and execution for the target market. Optional V8 would be my power train choice.

Lot's of variables here. Driving habits, type of tires, etc.
My 2020 X7 40i with over 19K on the original All Season Bridgestone Alenza NON Run flat tires have plenty of tread left. I will probably get around 35K miles on these tires before I need to have them replaced. |

Damn I'm surprised you haven't changed at least a set of pads yet. I have a M340 with the same M brakes which use the same compound although I'm sure they're much bigger. I'm at 11k miles on my M340 and my brakes feel like they're on their last legs. Nothing left on the pads. Different driving habits I guess.
