I don't care as long as pricing stays the same, it gets the new B58 with 378hp and interior from the iX. Everything else I don't care.

Front end has so many creases. Kinda looks like a crumpled up piece of paper after unfurling it. Amazing quality render as always, though!

This surprisingly doesn't look too bad. I'm getting some LCI X3M vibes with the front end designs on this render. Overall not bad at all, and despite majority sentiments by us enthusiasts, this will likely sell just as well as the pre-LCI. (If this ends up being how the production version looks)

Well, I felt in love with Bmw with my 1971 2002 when I was in college. ( I'm not that old! the car was already 30 years old when I got it).
Sure Bmw has departed from its lovely original designs a lot, but still you can find the "sprit" of fun days in some of the current lineup, like 2 series. (Especially m2), but not x7. I don't see a "real" Bmw in x7, especially in this rendering. The crazy thing is I have a x7 in the garage. Because it's probably one the best SUVs out there. am I enjoy driving it? Not sure. But sure i like to be in the business class! |

Wouldn't surprised if this was close to what the LCI will be - follows the current BMW trend of over styling/overdone.

German designers are not bold necessarily, there is a certain European feel to it which is post modern plus minimalist. Performance over luxury, aerodynamics over looks. It’s a German thing. I don’t find bmw and merc to be bleeding edge when it comes to tech gadget stuff, they are generally late adopters. It’s in the dna. I don’t know who designed the EQS but that is a rarity.
My PhD adviser was a German mathematician who had worked at Benz in his early days (on early cad tools for 3D geometry design). IMHO the IX design … Fugly. |
