ooh nooo... Glad that everyone is safe though! Sorry for your car damage.
At least you can replace the bumper and get a brand new one, but the door damage hurts...especially that you might have to spray the entire side to avoid color difference. With white color, I might give it a try and only paint that door and see how it goes with the contrast. Last edited by BMW5and7; 11-27-2022 at 04:47 PM.. |

Ouch. Glad everyone is safe. The X7s use to have night vision as an option…not sure if it would have helped though as some reviews were less than stellar.
Might try paintless dent repair on that door if the paint is intact. I’ve seen them work wonders. |

My 530e has night vision and it helps (Or can help at night). It triggers automatically if it sees deers around or kids in the dark.

Here in rural Colorado, daily fresh road kill is a constant reminder of the hazards of wildlife and livestock, and I drive fully expecting either to appear suddenly (and they have). What scares me equally is the moron driving 30 feet behind me, entirely clueless to the situation and completely unaware that I might have to brake suddenly. To be fair, I consider the guy in front of me a moron as well (sometimes he's the guy who was formerly 30 feet behind me, incensed that I was driving cautiously), so I follow at a distance within which I can stop so as not to sandwich him when he encounters Bambi or Bullwinkle, up close and personal.

Sometimes the wildlife "wins" no matter how you drive. I had an encounter when Bambi decided to cross the road between my truck and the boat that was following me very closely. Let's just say the boat fared a lot better ....
You wouldn't be able to stop in such a situation as I didn't see it coming at all. Even at 25MPH you would have no chance when they dart like that from the side in the middle of the night. |
