M60i Trailer Hitch Cover for Aesthetics

Picking up a 2024 M60i this week, but it was on the lot and has factory trailer hitch optioned. Not loving the look of all that hardware and I have a truck for towing anyways.

I remember a thread about a rear diffuser that maybe covered it up to look nice again? Searched 2 years back and couldn't find it.

Any one else found something nice to cover up the rear hitch?

Thanks!

Did you ask the dealer about this? Is there a cover buried somewhere in the cargo storage area that the dealer is supposed to install?

I wish! Oddly enough BMW doesn't even make a cover to purchase. They expect you to just leave the hitch pieces exposed.

I contacted them and it’s $2k for the gloss black diffuser and it comes with a removable piece so you can still use the hitch if desired!

Ordered…. 6 weeks approx

Did you end up installing this? If so, can you please share before/after photos?

I would also love to know how someone snagged one for $2000?!

First sales guy quoted me $3000 shipped...

Second guy quoted me $2500 shipped after I asked for a discount and promised to take and post pictures...

$2000 would have been a much easier pill to swallow

I almost pulled the trigger on the Future Designs diffuser but don't like how it flares out by the rear wheels (pic below), not very elegant IMO. I also would prefer to retain access to my tow hitch in case I want to start using it one day...

I'm waiting on mine to come in the mail and can definitely post pictures once I get her installed...

Does anyone know if this’ll cover the fugly tow hitch package of the 2022 BMW Alpina XB7, too? I can’t stand the looks of it. I can’t find any solution or local body shop to help, none of them have ever seen this model. If I buy the Alpina OEM rear bumper cover without the tow package, will that fit over it and hide it? I’ve been obsessing over this for weeks.

The only solution so far is a rear bumper diffuser from Renegade design that they claim covers the hitch and has a removable cover in case you needed to use it. Such an oversight by bmw 😡 I obsessed over it too when got my car but now doesn’t bother me anymore
