E30 mix

Hello all, I was wondering if running E30 mix (about 4.5 gallons E85 and the rest 93) would be okay to run on my car? I have a 2023 m340 with an AA downpipe everything else is stock.

The manual for the car says it can take up to 25 percent of Ethanol.

On an otherwise stock car that is going to do little or nothing in terms of performance as compared to the 93 you already have access to. To take advantage of E30 you need something other than a stock tune

Be thankful you have access to 93 and are not stuck with West Coast 91 crap gas

So with the 91 crap gas, can we use up to 25% E85 on a stock car? Would that be beneficial?

I think without a tune the car can take up to 25 percent Ethanol “safely” or within manufacture specs for the stock tune, without a tune it would not be beneficial without a tune like what was mentioned above. I’ve seen calculators online that let you mix ethanol with gas to get a higher octane rating thru mixing them.

Actually, you can run a few gallons of e85 (E20 mix) to clean up timing. Just because one is on a stock tune, doesn’t mean they don’t suffer from timing corrections in certain conditions. For the guys stuck with 91, they definitely can benefit.

This! and I have data to back it up. When i had a JB4 i could run it on stock tune(map 0) and see the difference in timing corrections with 91oct vs ~E20. It also had a small seat of the pants difference and ran faster dragy times with the E20 mix.
I dyno'd the car on E20 and made 408whp/459tq.
I absolutely think its beneficial to run an E blend on a stock tune.
