How white is ivory white?

Sounds like a silly question, but went to two dealerships I couldn't see one single car with the "ivory white" interior. Checking online, there's a lot of difference from one picture to the other, also different models and years. Some look "whiter" than others, but in general it looks more beige than really white like in a Tesla.

I had a Model X with the white interior and that's what I was looking for when I ordered the X7. And on a side note, I may end up canceling my order. Vehicle was supposed to come on Friday, then Monday, now is Tuesday and it's still "awaiting for carrier". Flew from FL to VA just to pick it up and drive back and the dealer has no clue on what's going on and they can't get an answer. I'll cancel the order and get my deposit back if it doesn't come until Friday.

From what I saw on the lot the Ivory is whiter than the beige

we've had a white model X with white interior. the BMW ivory white is not like the tesla white at all. so if you are looking for that level of white, you will be disappointed.

the BMW ivory white is indeed whiter than normal "tan" interiors, but it is still nothing compared to the white in the tesla. tesla white is blinding white, almost like white-out. the BMW ivory is just a very light beige. it is lovely though - the quilting is beautiful and the contrast with darker elements in the cabin are great.

I had a car with white leather seats, a 97 Camaro 30th anniversary edition. Never again will I get all white seats. Beige, yes. Some white accents, yes. White is white, and all dirt shows, so does minor cracking and staining from clothing.
I look at it like this, after a few weeks of ownership, you get use to whatever color you chose, given you didn't hate it to begin with. So why get a color which will never look as clean or good as the day you bought it. BUT......White does look really good when knew with some paint colors. If you are set on white, you must know all this already and be willing to do the cleaning on it. Good luck!!

And being in FL, I understand to desire to have light color interior. Still, after living in Sebring for years, I noticed no difference in internal heat due to seat color. Tint does more for cooling.

Here you go. Ivory Merino. Still looked new when trading it in after two 1100 mile family road trips to WDW. My kids are trained well and I am a concourse detailing pro. That said, my current X7M50i has Tartufo Merino. Still light on color but not nearly as fussy as ivory. Ivory leather it’s not for the amateur car enthusiast.

MystroX5, I loved the Ivory Merino, looks like a light grey. Same shade I had on my Hyundai Tucson.

But it doesn't show as available for the X7 anymore. Or is it an Individual color?

I don’t know with all the parts shortages. I know Tartufo was out of stock several times before the last year of madness. BMW ivory is a bright but rich color of white.

Mystro - What products do you suggest for leather cleaning and conditioning (seats & dash)?

We ordered our X7 with the Merino Ivory White sight unseen. Did not care for any of the other colors. No Dealerships in our area had any X7's to look at so we had to order everything from the sample chips in the showroom. We are currently waiting for the car to arrive at the dealership.

Same situation. Dealer only had 1 or 2 new X7s but they were already sold, so I couldn't even test drive one. Really wanted to check the performance of the M50I engine, active steering and even BMW's auto pilot. Buying an expensive vehicle completely blind.

My favorite is Sonax leather cleaner and Sonax conditioner. Just buy the Sonax Leather Kit and you don’t need anything else.
The oem BMW leather conditioner is pretty good as well.
A big X factor is high quality white microfiber cloths to use. It makes all the difference over other materials.

I made a forum list of all the basic detailing things a year or so back.

Here is a link to the microfiber cloths I only use. I have hundreds of these. I swear by them and use them outside for paint and separate white ones for just inside for all detailing and polishing.

Yep, you have to go to Silverstone to get closer to that interior with a BMW. Of course, it's not available in the X7, though.

Yes, I'm in Kissimmee, 25 min from all the parks. We went to Universal last Tuesday and wasn't packed but the main coasters had 1.5-2 hrs wait. Magic Kingdom is full every day because of Spring Break. Lots of traffic everywhere.

So the main tips are the basic ones. Get to the park as early as you can, they get busier from 11ish til close. Avoid weekends if possible. If you don't go often, get the express pass. It's more money but spending 1-3 hours on each line is insane, especially with kids.

Awesome.
We stay on WDW property for 2 weeks every year. Usually the Grand Flo or Polly. That way there’s no pressure and we can come and go as we please between the crowds.
Next week, would you take the i4 down from Daytona or do a 95s down to 528 and come in that way?
We are also gonna catch a KSC launch end of April and hitting Cocoa Beach for a few days.

I travel a lot between FL and NC and usually I follow Waze. There's still construction going on I4, so I always have to deal with normal traffic, construction and possible accidents. Last time I was a couple away from Orlando, past 9pm and there was a big accident. Waze did some crazy rerouting, so it's hard to say now which way is the best.

And I love Cocoa Beach, it's one hour away from us.

So, the Ivory White is kind of in between pure white and cream'ish in Tesla?

I don’t know if BMW colors are the same across models for the interior, but I have Ivory White in my Z4. Below picture is on an overcast day, but is a pretty good representation if it helps

Only if Tartufo Merino had similar leather coverages on the lower parts of the dash and center trim, as the Ivory Merino.

Not sure why Ivory Merino Extended in non-individual has more of the leather coverages in lower parts of the dash and center console, than the Tartufo Merino Extended. Or, aren't they leather...

And lower/bottom sides of all sets are black in Tartufo, unlike Ivory Merino Extended has the matching color.

At least the front seat backs have matching Tartufo.

Even the seat belts are matching color.

Damn...
