24' X7 LCI Smaller?
I just upgraded from a 21’ X7 to a 24’ X7 xDrive40i. Our last one was a 7 seater with the bench seat while the upgraded has the 6 seater captain chairs. Not sure why but the 21’ year had an amazing amount of leg room in the second and third row (I’m 5’10) but I’ve realized in our 24’ the leg room in both is SIGNIFICANTLY less. To the point where my legs are pressed against the seat in front when sitting in the second row which was far from the case in the older car. Anyone else seeing this problem in the new car where legroom is significantly less? I understand the dimensions of the car have not actually changed but it seems that the interior space has shrunk?

When shopping for my wife's '24, I noticed the lack of room in the 6 seat vs the 7 seat model. The captains chairs left hardly any room to move between them compared to her 7 seat Expedition Max also with captains chairs. She is happy with the bench 2nd row.

Same here. After 3 x7's with a bench and now 2025 with captains chairs, it had less legroom. I prefer the bench, but rear seat passengers can recline more. You can see how the captains chairs mount to the floor, the track sticks out more in the front than the way the bench mounts.

I have both- it's the bench configuration.
