Well, i think i "could have" gotten 9% today. So, if that is where i stop in current environment, then that seem descent to submit the production order. Damn, i thought 7.5% is good with local dealer, lol...

Lol I didn’t mean 10% is doable now but rather it is the ceiling of discount on non-evs. I ordered my 24 X5 at 10% dealer discount a year ago but I don’t think dealers discount X7s as much

Hi folks, was shopping around in the Bay Area, California for the on-the-lot 2024 X7. Found one that has the same color combo but not exactly the options I wanted. Dealer gave 10% off MSRP and then $1K BMW partner rebate via my employer. So the total OTD price is a little under the MSRP.. Yes the sale tax here is crazy at 10.75%.

Couple dealers don't seem eager to quote me for a custom 2025 build. They just simply sent me a quote at MSRP or $1k off MSRP, etc.

What do you think? more room to negotiate? or should I just ask for a few freebies like all-weather-mats and maybe 1 or 2 extra years of Ultimate Care (on top of the free 3 years one)?

Side note: I found that BMW dealers here always have some customers on weekdays and weekends. I went to a couple of Audi dealers on Sat and they are super quiet and salesmen are eager to sell you something the same day without knowing what options the car has

Please advise,

BMW of Stevens Creek should give you at least 6-7% for a custom build right out of the gate, and you should push them higher. Also check out BMW of Fremont, they also don’t tackle ADMs and have reasonable doc fees.

Thanks skrontz for the note! will try to contact Steven Creeks too and see how it goes.

I wonder if it is common to ask for a free 1 or 2 additional years of free maintenance (they call Ultimate Care?) at the purchase time?

Negotiating individual deal components (price, trade-in, financing, and maintenance) separately generally leads to a better outcome for the buyer.

Yeah, I don't have recent experience with Steven Creek but did buy two vehicles from them with no issues. They are a high volume dealer and you should have better luck with custom builds with discount compared with (say) peninsula dealers. Try Fred K.
[Edit] ah, looks like post is from 3 weeks ago - too late

My 2022 X7 M50i lease expires at the end of September. My Bay Area dealership (Weatherford) is offering to lock in the following deal from now on a 2025 X7 M60i. Stevens Creek can match it.

10,000 miles / 36 months

MSRP: $126,825
Selling price: $118,581
Rebate: $500
Residual: $65,949
Money factor: 0.0025

Monthly payment: $2,072
Due at signing: $4,304

Thoughts?

I'm wondering if I should push a bit harder and lock it in now...or wait and work the numbers after the new car arrives in the Fall?

They're completely killing you on the money factor (0.0025=6%)!

According to the Edmunds leasing forum, you can get MF as low as 0.0018=4.32%! It may depend on your credit but just showing you what's out there!

I think MF in May and June was/is 0.0021 (5.04%).

If I am getting 12-13% on a '24 Xdrive 40i is that a good deal? Whats everyone getting these days. I am thinking going the route of custom order if the discount is at 10% for ordering.

After working to get 10% off a custom order X5 we decided X7 is a better fit.

I am chasing to get the same % off and thought I had it yesterday but dealer changed terms after sitting down, etc etc the game I get it. Went from 10 to 4.5% off. We were pissed for lack of better term.

Eventually they offered 8% and said couldn’t do more unless they give us less for trade in or add to the promo interest rate.

Needless to say the wife was pissed and we walked based on principle of bait and switch.

Now I don’t know if these dealers are using chatbot AI but if so they should watch what they say in emails. I also confirmed with the salesman 3 separate times before sitting down for paperwork. 10%.

Anyways. Being end of qtr do you think I will find 10%? Are we being unreasonable?

Many of these dealers told me I wouldn’t find 10% off the x5 and end up with multiple places.

Stick to your guns and use independent tools like TrueCar to get stuff in writing!

Anyone who's leasing better beware of dealer calcs (especially if they've been hit by the ransomware attack). Reliance on computers haven't forced finance guys to be really good at math!

"McCallum said he has heard directly from impacted dealerships, claiming that due to the difficulty of calculating leases by hand, for example, they have halted offering them completely."

End up getting 8.5% off msrp for 2025. Thinking we could have squeezed another half to 1 percent off but it was hard finding the x7 with the exact specs we wanted. Specific packages and no msport. Wife loves the vehicle, our 1st BMW.

Still a great deal and you got what you wanted!

Was your dealer impacted by ransomware attack?

Yea, took a little longer for them to prep the paperwork but most of that time was spent before we came in. I heard them talking on the side that it was coming back up for some dealers this past Saturday.

Was this on a 40i or M60i?

Good day everyone.
I have been looking around for an X7 40i in Northern NJ/NYC Area.... so far the dealer will only offer just slightly over 4% off MSRP for a custom order. (in fact I ordered one before looking at these forums and now it has been built and is at the dealer, but now they are lowballing my trade-in (vs original agreement a month ago)

Are there any dealers in this area which offer the magical 8 or above number?
