Driver Assistance Pro- First impression
Picked up a 25 X7 40i last week and took it on a trip yesterday. Since it was mostly highway, I tried Driver Assistance Pro for the first time and used it quite a bit.
Initial impression was I could not wear sun glasses. It could not read my eyes. This led to a somewhat uncomfortable day. If I took a sip of water, it warned me that I was being inattentive. I found it quite a bit too sensitive. The steering wheel did not block the sensors. As a whole, it worked fairly well, cutting off several times for unknown reasons. The changing lanes by looking at an outside mirror (after first being prompted to change) was pretty cool |

No problems with polarized Maui jim sunglasses either. Are your eyes partially blocked by the frame edges so the camera can’t see you eyes?

I have zero sunglass issue and I always wear them from Prada, RayBan, to WileyX wraparound. I am light sensitive so even on cloudy rainy days I wear RX gradient tint. We do the 3500 mile extended family road trips every year and ACC, etc.. is always on when pounding miles. I do occasionally get the
“take a coffee break” warning. |

I don't seem to have a problem with sunglasses, but as previously posted, the steering wheel has to be adjusted so it doesn't block your eyes from the camera.

I have long ago found out that if I drink something from a bottle or a cup, the system immediately issues a warning. Looks like it tracks not only the eyes but also tries to see the face, but it is so stupid that it cannot do this with a cup at the mouth.
