Frozen black protection

Thank you for the many helpful car tips I received… some worked very well .

I am confused on the frozen black care . Many say never wax never buff or polish I get that makes sense I don’t want to change the color or make it shine .

Then I read BMW says there Nano wax applied by hand can give frozen black paint maximum protection… protecting my frozen black would be nice but confused on what to do after reading to use nano wax .

Thank you for any advice

Satin PPF over Frozen paint before any chemicals, is the best protection.
Frozen paint require a full panel repaint for any small damage.
No touch up paint, buffing, or polishing can save the paint.

Thank you are right on the PPf … what are the thoughts on ceramic vs Nano wax
On new frozen black . I see both sides.
But want to protect my new frozen black but don’t want to screw up .

AFAIK, you don’t want to ceramic before PPF.
It won’t allow the PPF to stick.
You do the ceramic or nano on the PPF.

Question is if frozen paint is a premium and you want that look would the satin ppf just be the easier route to attain the frozen finish anyway?

Metallic pain to satin ppf same as frozen?

Almost seems like twice the cost to go satin ppf over frozen finish.

It is. Cheaper way to go frozen finish.
The reason you want to PPF Frozen paint, no one, not even BMW certified body shop, can fix a scratch without repainting the scratched panel.
Even that, paint won’t match.
I have seen it being done, it will be different than original frozen from factory.
Oh, and not many BMW certified body shop can do it too. At least from what I know in Los Angeles area.
Here is my Marina Bay Blue with Satin PPF.

Frozen Black have a learned a lifetime of paint care in the 2 months since owning a new BWM Xm label and far from done .

I have PPF on the front end and hood which may come off not sure because I may wrap the vehicle just to protect it because I am keeping this I love it that much and I never keep cars long .

You never let anything but matte soap and water touch the car ever . The PPF streaks easy and a pain if I wash the car which it’s only hand wash I come back the next and see if I need to use Dr B final finish on the PPF and wipe off . It’s to streaky after washing .

Love the frozen black it’s tough it’s strong thinking about a wrap to protect it . Water marks I can clean off easy I don’t panic . Love it learning more every day .
