Suggestions for a High Quality Tow Hitch?

Given that we use our 2025 X7 M60i to tow our 6,500 lbs Nautique ski & wakesurf boat, our 3,000 lbs 1936 Chris Craft boat as well as our 2,000 lbs snowmobile trailer, I’m looking to upgrade our trailer hitch. My brother in law swears by his B&W “Tow & Stow” hitch (https://www.bwtrailerhitches.com/pro...ble-ball-mount) which I am seriously considering, but I’m wondering what you guys may be using and what you’d recommend as an alternative.

Thanks, and here are a few pics of the X7 towing our Super Air Nautique and our Chris Craft which are the heaviest of our towing needs.

I should have been more clear … I’m looking to upgrade the trailer hitch receiver to something like the B&W unit that I linked to in my post below.

I picked up a crappy one at Napa when I bought my X7 last year (see attached pic), but I need to upgrade it to a better unit so I’m looking for any suggestions from this crowd given my towing needs. No apologies for the filthy car pic as we’ve been haulin’ the snowmobiles! TIA for any feedback on B&W units or any other suggestions

I watch a lot of Ike Gauntlet towing tests by The Fast Lane Truck. They promote Gen-Y hitches. I would have bought one, but last time I needed a hitch it was urgent, so I bought a Weigh-Safe aluminum adjustable 10" drop hitch. I use it on my Ram 2500 to tow my Grady-White 275 (about 9k lbs with the trailer) and 911 (about 5k lbs with the trailer). Any of these high end hitches (Gen-Y, B&W, Weigh-Safe) will do great.

I just got that exact hitch, the B&W adjustable with up to 3" drop/rise, with two hitch balls. It's a solid unit for sure. Just doing light towing here moving stuff to another property. U-Haul 5x8 is under 1000lbs empty and 2700lb max. I was tired of buying new receivers every time I got a different vehicle, so finally got a nice adjustable unit. Can definitely vouch for the B&W.

Awesome, thanks for the feedback …. I placed my order for the B&W unit this evening and look forward to tossing out the old, nasty, rusty Napa one

Well, I finally received and installed my B&W hitch receiver, and this thing is a BEAST. It’s likely the last one I’ll ever need as this thing is built to last. The cool thing is that when it’s in the stowed position (with the ball rotated under the bumper), the whole unit is completely flush with the bumper so no busted shins knocking into it like the standard hitches. It also means there’s not an extra 4” of junk hanging off the back of the car that the Parking sensors won’t take into consideration!

All in, while this is expensive I think it’s definitely worth the money if you have any serious and regular towing needs!
