This. I always wonder if I'm the only one who reads those agree incident reports of shootings where they report finding "4 guns and over 500 rounds of ammunition" or something similar and think, "eh, that's not really all that much." Ammo quantities judgments should be like this:
Under 50 rounds found: newbie, risk of accident or suicide -risk level = moderate
Between 200-500: possible terrorist or criminal, too much to be new, not enough to be enthusiast, "up to something" - risk level = high
over 1,000: enthusiast, probably trained, not trying to be low key- risk level = low

After Hurricane Katrina I was shooting about 500-750 rounds per week and kept at least 5,000 rounds in the house at any one time. My old neighbor (a lifelong friend) was a captain at a fire station and told me that they would rescue us and let the house burn down if it ever caught on fire. #toomuchammo
