For a car of this price, if you’re going big, do it and get all the options. It will help distinguish the car from the others when going to sell it… Thanks, MystroX5!! |

DHP is an option worth having in X7. If there are deletes for ‘21 as verified by others, then ‘24 is the way

2024 as well and while I have a 2022, I was able to get the DHP (must have) as well as the Merino, etc... The biggest factor though by far is the DHP. It makes the X7 feel like such a smaller car to drive in/around town.

I'd go for the 2024 M60i just because the alternative is a MY2022 and the fact that it is missing some - in my opinion - characteristically M50i/M60i options, namely DHP.

after having my X7 40i with dhp (the small window at the beginning of the 2023 run that it was avail) for a year now, it would be a dealbreaker for me to not have it. I would go with an M60i if i had to replace it today just for that. i quite literally forget how big the X7 is, with DHP it can maneuver as well or better than my old X3 in the tight streets of NYC. which is quite an accomplishment considering how much bigger it is.

I bought the '22 version of the X7M50, specifically to avoid the mild hybrid technology and its lithium battery (entirely my personal prejudice).

Front plate is already mounted on the 2022...take the 2024
I would look at it from the overall cost of use/ownership...how long are you going to keep this and if you do plan on trading in later for another car. If that's 3-4 years from now, calculate the cost of use, basically the depreciation. In 4 years that 2022 will be 7 years old, out of warranty, and outdated, depreciation may hit harder. 2024 with the new tech and highway assist, plus ID 8.5/9 will more than likely have the same or possibly less depreciation, so that will give you a good idea of overall costs versus just looking at the sticker prices of both. That's the true price...don't get fixated on the $20K difference. If you're financing or pulling cash out of other assets, you need to take that into consideration as well, but everyone's situation is different. |
