You know what's funny is I'm a Seminole and he was a Gator....

I was like "Did you intentionally hit me or what? What's with the hate man?"

I will say, hat's off to BMW. These are extremely safe cars. Even with being hit at 40+ mph from a complete stop I didn't feel a thing. Sure I was a little sore for the rest of the day, but no hospital or anything.

The Lady cop was even shocked. She said she's usually rolling people out in stretchers from a hit like that. The BMW also held up extremely well......you should've seen the guys Corolla, that thing was demolished.

...And Yes, He tried to sell me a policy

Oh man this guy is posting his accident pics everywhere to show off

But to the OP, glad to hear you are okay I'm sure the pole would have done some damage but that's surprisingly more than I was expecting when you said you hit a curb.

Wouldn't the severity of the the accident factor into the equation at some point?

How did you hire a DV? Gotta know about that if I ever get hit in my car.

totally agreed. something about the car being wrecked replaying in your head takes a little bit of joy out of it... for me atleast. I've had phenomenal repairs, but drove my brother and girlfriend crazy when they would sit next to me and i would constantly say "did you feel that?/did you hear that?"

let's see how much minds ends up costing, like i posted early someone turned into and destroyed my front suspension and bumper/fenders.

car looks great. glad you decided to keep it!

can't listen to everyone on these forums who jumps and tells you to sell as soon as you smack a curb.

shit happens, i bet you learned your lesson and you'll slow it down for next time...

best of luck!

Just check in the phonebook/online, there's tons of them. Look for Diminished Value Consultants. All they really are are professional appraisers that evaluate a cars worth both pre-accident and post-accident. Prices vary, usually depending on the cost of your repair.

Smartest move I ever made was hiring one after I got hit.

OP, looks like the repair came along well. Enjoy your car.
