I went the opposite route as the OP. I also have poplar/beige. I went with a carbon fiber replacement fit about 2 years ago and got bored of it. Switched it back to poplar last week.
i sure hope he didnt wet things first!!!!! the 3M glue will never work right if there was water used underneath.



Honestly - i would re-do a lot of it. i can see lots of spots around the edges that are not tight.

Its a good start
