Seems like a no brainer at £99, no excess, £15K of cover which is more than enough.
Yes but is it return to original invoice value even if you've paid a load off?

EDIT - You're leasing, not buying, so it doesn't matter.

Looking forward to seeing pics of the car.

Errrr, regrettably nothing gratis from the dealer! I got the accessories I wanted with a decent enough discount though. Still mulling over the GAP and tyre insurance; £550 for both if I was to buy from the dealer (no chance of that) and £297 for both by buying similar insurance products from the internet.

I just looked at Blackcircles, a 275/35/19 Run flat tyre comes in at well over £350 so tyre insurance could be well worth it.

Not sure about your GAP product Peter but got told by someone in the industry a lot of these companies are now based abroad. I am sure the product is fine but if you have to claim you may have the inconvinence/expense of dealing with a company for example based in Gibraltar. Might be worth checking before buying so you see the trade of price vs service.

Thanks Peter.

I bought both products in the end, from Direct Gap. It cost me £293 for both GAP and the Tyre Insurance. £95 for the GAP seemed very reasonable and they beat cheapest quote I had previously. It seems that tyre insurance is going up substantially in the very near future, my BMW dealer also mentioned this when I enquired. Seems it is a bit of a loss leader for the insurers. Some will now only offer tyre insurance (at increased prices) if GAP is taken at the same time.

The GAP cover is underwritten by a Gibraltar insurance company, but both policies are covered by the FSCS and the broker is FSA registered so, hopefully, not an issue in the event of having to claim.

So, all set for tomorrow now!
