No thanks - I'd prefer to be appreciated where I work and not have to work day and night for 15 years to finally achieve something...should take less time than that. It took me only about 6 years to advance to one step below partner within a global accounting firm, then again, I did feel appreciated there, generally speaking. So I do know of what I speak.

And if I choose to work within a company, I'd like to feel that there is an option to advance right to the top (C-suite) if I work hard. But I suspect there is a glass ceiling for you - let me ask you a question - think about the top level people in your company. The CEO / President, the CFO, maybe a CTO if you have one, - the ones at the very top. What are their nationalities? I am curious - be honest.
