They are a bit behind from a video quality perspective, 1080p30fps front and 720p30fps rear Both should be 1080p60 at least by now. Others are 2K But the rest of the package is what got me over the line. -Great design -Software -Viewing locally or remotely from a mobile device -Sends alerts to you Is your mate from Carbon Car Systems? |

So I tried installed the Vico power box, fuse 8 and fuse 83.
It would tn power on, I could be bothered with it so I unplugged 83 and left 8 in, it flattered my battery over night haha, had to charge it up last night. I'll go and invest in a multimeter to do it properly and diagnose |

Where did you get your respray done? In Wollongong somewhere? I ran over a massive stick the other week and it chipped/damaged a small area on the bottom of my front bumper and it looks shocking so I need to get it patched up

Three power input cables -Ground -Ignition only (fuse 8 cigarette lighter) -Constant power (fuse 83, unused in our cars) One power output in the form of a female cigarette lighter port Is that what yours is like |

They sit between your cars power and your dash cam.
They are meant to be a fail safe so your dashcam doesn't drain the cars battery. I spoke to the sales rep at DCA and they recommended the vicovation one, said it was better, even through blackvu has their own one. I can't back that up with any data though so here they both are. http://dashcamsaustralia.com.au/shop/dashcams/blackvue/power-plus-hardwire-kit/ http://dashcamsaustralia.com.au/shop/dashcams/blackvue/powermagic-hard-wiring-kit/ |

I forget what else I'm powering from there, but the ground is achieved by securing it to the large torx bolt in there. |

Yeah so fuse 8 is the top green mini fuse
Your yellow cable is different to what I was using I'll give it a go. Your red cable is something else right? |

If the dashcam is hooked up to power up only when the ignition is on, why do we need this??? or do you only need it if you are leaving the cam on 24/7 while parked etc?? Im afused |

The device stops the car from killing the battery when the voltage drops too low if for example you go over seas for 3 months. You configure a voltage on the power device.
