I know how you feel. I want what I ordered also. If I wanted to compromise I would have purchased one by now in a different spec. They had one at my local dealer but it was missing a couple of the things I wanted. … I’ll wait… at least for a couple of weeks more to get out of QC. I just would like to have it by the middle of October… although sooner is better!!! |

I stand corrected. You had a production date of 8/2? I will say that I called my SA yesterday and said if I wasn't out by today, I was not going to buy the car. Then suddenly I'm out of QC. Not sure if that was just a coincidence or not.

Seems like they usually flip cars out of QC during the mornings. At least it looks that way.
Am I correct by saying that? In other words if it’s not out of QC in the morning, then it’s in there for the whole day and the next chance it may be out of QC is not until the next morning. Maybe it’s just a coincidence. |

When your stuck in QC it makes your brain start thinking of every scenario of why.
Could be a major part engine trans etc (unlikely though) Could be something as simple as a bracket, a piece of molding a sill plate, a side mirror a rear view mirror etc. Heck it could even be a tear in the seat that happened during installation. Yes it happens.. it is what it is… Or maybe it just didn’t meet the Quality Standards of BMW. Paint correction needed. Something scratched on the inside etc. Like my father always said… the quality is remembered long after the price has been forgotten. And in this case when the time has been forgotten. I would hope that none of them leave South Carolina without being perfect. As a current BMW owner the fit and finish is second to none. And for that I can wait. For now.. lol!! Still hard though. My thumb is developing a flat spot on it from hitting the refresh button. Hope to get out soon like everyone on here. Hang in there. It’s worth the wait. Cheers! |

BMW isn't obligated to provide you any type of information. It isn't "your" vehicle until you pay for it. I get that people are frustrated with the delays, but this type of behavior is pretty ridiculous.

Day 28 and finally out of QC!! I'm hoping to get it by next weekend (Texas). Already assuming it'll sit in "Awaiting Carrier Assignment" for a few days.

Update (in QC since 9/6)
Just heard from my sales guy out of the blue this AM. I haven’t talked to him for a week or so.. They were told by BMW that the part missing is the rear seat latch. He also said that BMW told him it should be at the dealership by the end of the month. Also told me that the same part is holding up three other X7’s that they have on order. So we will see what happens from here. Some communication is better than no communication even if it’s not the news I wanted to hear. |

Dealer just texted and the car finally made it there this AM, should be able to pick it up tomorrow. Spent in QC almost a month and out of QC 10 days ago and took 5 days ship to MI, overall this is a horrible car buying experience for a first time BMW owner...… I am not even excited about to pick it up...

Was fully expecting a decent stay in QC and to my luck/surprise, I'm awaiting carrier shipment. Was in QC for 3 days. That being said, does the developer panel reveal any shipping information at all?

Our X7 spent 41 days in QC - it should arrive today - when you read over what we all have been told by dealers, BMW and whomever - there is only one conclusion - we as customers will never know what the hold up was in the factory - there either was a actual problem with the car or they were short parts - so you can accept it for what it is or move on. It is nice to see that some dealers are trying to make the situation a little better by offering a discount, loaner car or a extended warranty but there are other dealers who just take the attitude of too bad - my dealer falls in the later - if there were other cars available in my area we would have moved on but due to my wife's wreck back in December we are in need of the car ASAP - good luck to all of us
