A dealer has listed a used 2020 X7 in SoCal with almost 5k miles, with an asking price of $70k. The car is a loaner and I believe it would has an original msrp of $79k, which would be only 11% off msrp.
Question: what the discount I should expect/ask of the original msrp, since it a loaner and 2020 model year? Thanks in advance for your help! |

Is the 15% discount off the original MSRP ($79,000) or the current asking price ($70,000)? |

After about 2-3wks of virtual shopping and negotiating on a couple similar M50is I ended up pulling the trigger. In SE Texas there was not much wiggle on M50i and I saw about half the discount others here are seeing on x40’s. Got about 5% pre incentive and then $3.5k in rebates off an MSRP of $112k. Wish I’d done better but wanted the car before 12/31 and didn’t want to wait over what amounted to the hypothetical $2.5k of additional discount I was chasing.

Hey guys. How much APR have you got for purchasing? I ordered my 2021 M50i with decent discount (10%) before incentives, but later the dealer said APR they could offer is 2.9% (1.9% is BMW official + 1% more from dealer). Adding 1% APR is more than couple of thousands $, and feel not happy. Isn't the 1.9 APR from BMW flat for all?

What reason is the dealer giving you for 2.9% and do you know what your current credit score and report are? Like malba2366 said, the dealer needs you to carry the loan for 3 months in order to get their kickback. Just let them know you'll pay it off in 60 days or you have 1.9% refinance deal lined up with your local bank. 1% is a huge difference if you plan to carry the loan for a full 60 months. On a $100K loan that difference in finance charges is $3000! |

Hi Saejin and malba2366, thanks for your input.
My credit score is >800, shouldn't be an issue. The dealer said they are taking 1% mark up over BMW official 1.9% APR, while offering 10%+ discounts. The discount itself is the best among multiple dealers nearby that I got, so I took it. "Like malba2366 said, the dealer needs you to carry the loan for 3 months in order to get their kickback. Just let them know you'll pay it off in 60 days or you have 1.9% refinance deal lined up with your local bank." -> Good strategy, and I am going to use the same threatening, or simply refinance the loan from another bank. |

In my search for a X7M50i I reached out to the two dealers nearest me here in the Seattle area and both refuse to offer any sort of discount off of MSRP on a custom order. I would be curious to know if anyone has had success getting any sort of discount off an order in the Seattle area?
I also see that the local dealer is advertising a Dealer Allowance: $2,500 Cash Back On Select BMW Models, that is listed in addition to the Dealer Allowance: $2,500 Cash Back On Select BMW Models When Financing Through BMW Financial Services. Based on what I see in the descriptions I don't see anything prohibiting stacking the two allowances, but am I missing something? |

Does that $9K include manufacturer incentives - curious to know the breakdown to see what the discount percentage is. Thanks.

I am just seeing this thread for the first time. I am seeing a lot of 10-15% discount plus incentives. I already custom ordered my X7 a couple of weeks back and this is my pricing. Looking to understand if I didnt get a good deal and could’ve gotten more discounts.
MSRP + Destination - $84K Dealer discounts - $3500 BMWFS incentive + corp discounts - $3500 So that’s about 8.3% discount off MSRP. There was another dealer who said he couldnt give any more than $2k on dealer discounts. |

Friend of mine is part of a group that owns multiple dealerships. He got me that deal for the X7 at a faraway BMW dealer which I used as a negotiating tool for my local dealer down here. After some haggle they ended up matching the deal. My guess is that they will include the incentives in the discount. When my car arrives, I may try to see if I can push for the incentives in addition to the discount, but I am not really complaining as it is a special order of something that there are basically none in the lot and they sell incredibly quick (Bimmers are like hotcakes in Miami). I know it is not as good as some deals I have seen on the forums and social media. They also gave me a decent trade offer for my current car (2019 lincoln navigator), the same amount as Carmax and even KBB (without me telling them what it is). That plus the tax credit from the trade in, I am fairly satisfied. |

I wanted to see if this is a good deal or if I'm missing something. I'm located in TX and got a dealer to verbally agree to payments of $1,175/month (36/12K, no downpayment, only first payment due at signing) on an x7 40i with MSRP of $91,500. This payment includes the sales tax.
The dealer hasn't sent me the lease worksheet so I don't know anything else besides the above - thoughts? |
