Looking to get a sense of where everyone thinks I might be able to net out in the tri-state...looking to pick up a well equipped MY 21 M50i - coming in at roughly $116K. I've been working through both Bayside BMW and Southampton BMW so far. Bayside is coming in at around 5K under sticker (for a June allocation) which doesn't feel great. Was hoping for closer to 10K off. Willing to go around CT, NY, NJ for this.

36 mo. lease / 10K miles

Wow lease rates are worse in May, residual went down 1% and lost the previous months lease incentive of $1,000. I ordered mine on 5/1 and supposedly my dealer locked in the April rates and incentives but who knows if that is true.

www.bimmerdavid.com or Dan at Next level Auto brokers...earlier this year 9-10% off msrp was easy. Right now, maybe 7-8%, plus incentives. I can put you in touch with Hudson Valley BMW rep I worked with who matched Dan's quote, if you wan to work directly with a dealer. Supply is tight at the moment so my info may be dated.

Hi All! I am looking to do a custom build on a x7 4.0. I'm located in Bay Area, California. Anyone in this area able to get 10% off msrp and any incentives?

I saw posts from earlier this year saying that was a good target to aim for but not sure if that is still possible or if Bay Area just doesn't have that sort of discount available.

Just looking to see what is realistic to get and maybe any suggestions for dealerships that could offer the best pricing.

Check out the threads in this subforum (and others) about BMW supply issues and production delays.

Unfortunately, you're looking to order at a real bad time. Rumor is, BMW has shut down 40i production for the remainder of MY2021 at a minimum.

Even if you're able to get a 40i, ordering or off the lot, I'm afraid there's no way for 10% off right now. No data on actual experiences during this time.

Oh wow! Didn't read about the production issues. I knew there was a shortage of cars but didn't realize it went to that extent. Thanks for the info and I'll do a little more research

Pulled the trigger!

X7 M50i
Dravit Grey Metallic
755M 22 inch wheels
Tartufo Extended Marino
A-B Poplar matte wood - 4KT
Cold weather package
Driving assistance professional package
Dynamic handling package
Executive package
Luxury seating package
Extended shadowline
Leather dashboard
Bowers and Wilkins diamond

117K msrp - 107K negotiated (only incentive was loyalty). Not bad for inventory issues, allocation constraints and a 36 mo. lease.

I have a very similar build as far as options and my MSRP is $115k. I thought the only box I didn’t check was captains chairs. I’m wondering if I’m missing something I should be adding since you don’t have captains chairs either.

I tried putting in a similar order without B&W and DHP and the order was rejected by BMW. Was told they're not doing individual or special color exterior and interior options.

Military Pricing example

Hi - new to the forum. I've owned a used 1996 540i, a German Spec 2009 330i Wagon - red, and just ordered a X7 M50i to be delivered to Germany. (Ordered from a German dealership)

I think the military programs have pretty much disappeared in the last 10 years for BMW and Mercedes. They used to offer shipping upon return to the US and better pricing than available now. The current offer is 10% off MSRP across the board, only 3 year warranty and no factory service. They will not add in factory incentives either. Not a bad deal for no-haggle purchasing, and I did negotiate a loaner that would fit my family from my arrival time in Germany until my vehicle is delivered.

Another interesting point - I shopped around the US market to see if they could match pricing and then add incentives. One dealer was working with me. After he found out that the military is sending me to Germany, he said BMW would not allow him to sell me the car if he knows it will be going overseas. -- there is a lot to unwrap about what is going on there.

I attached my order sheet for reference.

CCA how it works?

BMWCCA separate from BMW corporate. Yes, still $1k BMWCCA rebate if you've been a member long enough. I just submitted my rebate the other day.

Also discount for military, or PenFed member.[/QUOTE]

Do I need to be a membership "before" purchasing a new BMW to get the CCA rebate?
I also read the membership requires VIN number..so confused.
Which one happened first? If I'm not a member and are purchasing a new BMW in one month, am I too late to get that discount?

Thank

Yes, in order for you to submit an application for BMWCCA rebate, you need to have been a BMWCCA member for 6 months or longer.

"Purchase a 3-year or longer BMWCCA membership and after 6 months you will be ELIGIBLE for the BMW CCA Membership Reward Rebate."

https://cdn.bmwcca.org/static/join/index.html

BMWCCA Membership does not require a VIN number. You need to have the purchased BMW's VIN number when you submit your rebate application.

If you just joined BMWCCA and you're considering purchasing a BMW in one month, you won't be eligible for the membership rebate award.

Interesting. I bought multiple BMW's from Pentagon Car Sales. When I was stationed in Germany, that was BMW's military overseas sales program. Pentagon Car Sales went away, I believe in the middle 2010's, and a couple other overseas programs have come and went. Yes, I think mine ended up being something like 12% off, but probably the biggest deal ended up being no taxes of any kind upon redelivery.

So that's interesting that now you can order one from a German dealership. I assume that's a US-spec vehicle. A shame that you'll have to figure out your own shipping back stateside while you're done. Mine also didn't come with any German servicing (this is a USA thing BMW does--Germans don't think like that). Once you get the car back stateside it should also revert to the full USA warranty.

As Auricom said, unfortunately, too late for you. No VIN needed, but you do have to be a BMWCCA member for at least 6 months before buying your car. Sign up, though, and next one you can get a rebate!

It happens to be the German dealership in Stuttgart offering “military sales.” I think the other is Bavarian Motor Cars - kind of a broker/dealer. I think Pentagon and several of the other military sales dealers closed down last tine I was in Germany. I’m not exactly sure what changed, but I think it corresponded with changes to the program by BMW AG. Yep, it’s US spec. - they decode the anti dazzle headlights, and I believe it’s limited to 130MPH. - which limits I would have certainly tested. We have to choose to install EU maps, and then pay to put the US maps upon return.

Still no taxes while overseas, so that’s certainly a chunk of change saved, but some states in the US allow tax free title/register if you are a resident living out of state with the military. So I can get that on new car purchases even in the US.

Anyway, we did Tanzanite with Coffee interior. I couldn’t convince my wife to go Tartufo and could not find any dealers with examples of tartufo. But she was skeptical about going Tanzanite, so we made a good compromise. Not seeing many go with the coffee interior though.I also ended up with a 21” set of Nokian R3 winter tires on TSW wheels from discount tire. If they don’t have in stock a wheel from a manufacturer they deal with, they will try and custom order.
