No heated seats and lack of 3rd row AC vents would be a dealbreaker for me. Probably would care less if I was younger or didn't intend to have passengers in the third row.

Third row is primarily for our dogs, but there will definitely be times where we'd have people back there and it is hard to give up when paying 90K for a car. Front seats still get heated at least, just lose second row heating (not great, but not end of world).

My kids got spoiled when we bought my wife's X3 with rear heated seats that I had to add them to the rear seats of my Tacoma. It was a must have for the X7 when I bought it. Spoiled brats. LOL

Oh cool...yeah I didn't realize front row still gets heated seats. Just know there are no AC vents in the back, just floor vents for heat iirc.

Mine is expected to be completed tomorrow and I am hoping for delivery sometime next week. Its currently in "entering assembly line" stage

Tough one. With all the shortages, that 14 hour drive doesn't seem so bad. I live in Texas so a/c in the back was ideal but not a must since the X7 cabin is fairly open. And we really don't need heated seats here. I ordered a fairly basic build on 5/8 and it entered production start last week.

I finally got a VIN# and my status shows production begins today! Super excited and really hoping there are no further delays

Looks like you have Carbon Black - it’s an amazing color. What I mean by that, is that you’ll cringe almost every day as it shows absolutely every last speck of dirt...but when it’s clean it’s so absolutely worth it

I would say that the vehicle should be at the dealership in about a week or so. You could call the genius number and they can give you an estimated day of when the vehicle will be delivered once it leaves the factory. My X7 came 2 days before the estimated day given by genius. Congrats on your build!

Carbon Black is exactly what I ordered. My wife and I really love how the blue peaks through the paint when the light hits it and when it's clean! I've loved the color ever since they had it on the e46 M3s. We plan to have it fully ceramic coated right after we pick it up so hopefully it helps with keeping it somewhat clean. It's definitely helped on my mineral gray F80.

The ceramic coating will be a game changer! I bought the Adam’s graphene coating kit - am waiting for the right time to clay the beast (basic Chemical guys clay kit) and then coat it myself - this is the type of activity I find cathartic

Ceramic coating is amazing. I went with ceramic pro on my m3. It was applied in 2018 and she still looks good as new. 0 swirl marks in the paint, paint gloss is on another level, and cleaning is so easy. I'd love to try and ceramic coat the x7 myself but 3 kids under 6 always kept me me busy these days.

Depends on the installer and the quality of the coating and whether you are doing glass and wheels too (which is a must imo)...$1-2K for a good to great job, without any PPF.
