So I was told my X7 was a week 25 production date (which is June 21-25).
On the BMW website, it says production has been scheduled. However, when I call the BMW genius number....it says production date still has not been scheduled. What is going on? EDIT: Just spoke to BMW customer service, they said it was scheduled for production starting on the 10th. Cool, so one say's scheduled....one says it's not.....one says June 10....one says June 25. Oh, and your X7 will arrive with whatever we decide to equip it with and you can take it or leave it. Basically, the big FU to the customer. It's cool, take advantage now...I'll be giving BMW the big FU after this purchase for good.

Now, this was back before the big supply shortages really hit. Can't guarantee anything for you, but just to say that what you're seeing isn't unheard of.

Ok.. so I have had my car for 3 weeks and wanted to write back with an update on the base/Hi-Fi stereo system. The base system is a COMPLETE JOKE & UTTER GARBAGE. It's good for nothing more than listening to radio and may be podcasts. It's a shame that a 90k+ car can even be produced and sold with such below par sound system. If you are someone that cares about good music in your car, go with the M50i and get the HK's or option it with BW's.
I know there has been some discussion on how the base system compares to HK's, especially that most of us couldn't get the HK option recently . I just want you all to know that it's shockingly abysmal.

I Just was able to get a slot via a broker for a build and its true the HK is no longer there & I was also told no wireless charging and no integral active steering for my build.. bummed...havent gotten a build week yet. Which app are you guys using to track your build? I guess I would have to wait until a vin is assigned and only then I would be able to track? TIA

I also placed the order for my 22 X7 But they don’t have any location yet and apparently there’s a facelift but BMW hasn’t officially released it yet

When shopping for our X7 I shared the same sentiments about the B&W sound system and the $3400 upgrade. Definitely should be able to upgrade via an aftermarket setup or plug n play like BavSound

August is usually when allocation for the next model year become available. All knowledge on this forum says the refresh will come out in August 2022 as a 2023 model. Do a search… you’ll see many, many, many, many, many posts about it! :-)

Expect the tracker to not move much on "Ordered Received" and "Scheduled for production" but once the ball got rolling... Those two above items accounted for just over a 5 week waiting time, so be prepared/patient. Congrats! |

Once production begins, it is a fast process and you probably will miss a few items on the tracker. Unless you watch the tracker every hour. |

My SA called me today and told me status 150, production planned on 7/23, I'm wondering how long does the production take, 2, 3 days? Then over sea to Europe... Can't wait.

Once production actually starts, it usually takes just 1-2 days to finish. Bit it may sit around for a few days after it completes to wait for dispatch to transportation.
