My ankle wouldn't let me do all the workouts, so I just do AB Ripper X everyday before I take a shower in the AM. It's helping my mid section stay slim I guess

On day 9 and I'm still sore from day 1. The dieting is a joke compared to the workouts. If you have the will power to keep hitting play everyday and taking the punishment, you can definitely stick to the diet. Plyo is by far the hardest one for me. Didn't realize how out of shape my quads and calves were. It's a good burn though.

I'm now taking a few weeks off of the P90x/P90xPlus program sort of doing my own thing.

This week I did weights on Sun, Tue, Thur and plyometrics on Mon, Wed, Fri. Man Friday was HARD to get through it after doing a hard legs day on Thursday.

P90x is a great workout. If you really work at it, you will see some nice results. 12 weeks is not that long, either.

The best thing about taking a photo like that is when you get the results and take a comparison photo. will be worlds apart!

Has anyone tried P90X2 yet?

Just recieved P90X2, starting on the 26th. Got the deluxe package after they only sent me the base set when I ordered deluxe so have a full set of base DVD's to sell and offset the cost of all the extras needed. Did P90X (3 times) and Insanity, but this thing looks killer.

This thread has really motivated me big time to get serious with my working out and dieting again. I'm 5' 8" and about 150-155 but have too much fat on my stomach. I want to try P90X but don't have enough time :/ I'm working 70-90 hours a week. Any recommendations guys? REALLY would love for the first time in my life to have a six pack and be shreaded. I've had a nice flat stomach just never got into the ab workouts to help with the ab definition.

5'8 and 150? You must be really slender on the rest of your body. When it comes to losing belly fat, its more about diet than exercise. Take in less calories than you burn and do a lot of cardio...

I'm expecting mine to be here on 1/4. I'll be starting it the following Sunday. Looking forward to the new routine!

What do you think of the first few days!?

I didn't have a huge gut I just put a nice layer of fat over an almost flat stomach. I tried attaching a pic of me from 2 months ago before I went from 60 hours of work (manageable gym schedule) to 80-90 hours a week with no life and minimal gym. I think for me it's hard staying on course. Gotten a nice flat stomach but never made it to the next step of getting a sixpack and being very defined.

I was about 157 in this pic, and only pic I had before I put on some fat. Will get a current pic up later.

man it will be easy for you...diet and cardio. You'll probably have to drop to 10-12% BF to begin seeing a six pack.

I believe I'm hovering around 14% BF. I think my diet is really killing me at the moment. Just started up again trying to remain strict 6 out of 7 days a week with a couple cheat meals thrown in. Also started doing HIIT 3-5 days a week. Need to stop being so damn sore so I can consistently do 4-5 days of cardio instead of 3 days a week.

Yup it will take your body a couple weeks to get used to the intense training if you haven't done it in a while, after that it will get easier. Also glad to see you said only 4-5 days instead of 6-7 days, gotta give your body some time to recover. Especially if you're working as much as you are.

The first few times through you realize how core intensive it is and even with all the P90X and Insanity there is still room to improve core strenght and balance. The moves are hard but I found that my second week so far I have improved a bit from the first week. The Balance and Power DVD is flat out hard. Will be interesting to see the results
