If this is not a mistake and they actually did remove Phytonic blue for the XB7 then I would wait for Alpina blue if I were you. What makes it questionable for me is many of the promotional photos of the XB7 are Phytonic blue.

I find it laughable how Mercedes implemented CarPlay on their MBUX displays. No support for wireless CarPlay and they only use about 2/3 of the width of their 12.3" screen when CarPlay is displayed.

Major thumbs down.

Ferrari charges nearly $5,000 just for Apple CarPlay. So at least it's not that crazy, and the MB customers are looking for other things; I seriously doubt it's a deal breaker for them.

BMW buyers are more focused on tech. Every Silicon Valley technology guy has, owns, or owned a bmw. Their market it's CTO guys.

Of course wireless CarPlay and Android Auto isn't a deal breaker for MB buyers or they wouldn't be selling them, but MB promised wireless CarPlay with MBUX and still hasn't delivered. And they cannot defend squeezing CarPlay into 2/3 of their available screen width. They go on and on about how advanced their tech is but they dropped the ball in this area and it does matter to some buyers. I think they don't want owners using CarPlay or Android Auto so they made them less convenient to use.

I'm sure they would rather have them stick their ecosystem and use their dash displays. I agree with you. But their tech is better than anything without a MB or BMW badge for interior information systems.

I think they focus on their demographic and a more refined smoother ride. Where BMW focuses on higher technology and a faster performance for information and automotive.

Looks like they are starting to show up in a few more dealer showrooms.

No affiliation...just a public service announcement if any forum friends were looking for one in stock.
