M50i Cerium Grey Grille on 40i

Has anyone replaced the OEM 40i chrome grille with the M50i Cerium Grey kidney Grille ?? Not liking the chrome and do not want to go all Black

The part is in the url below, Although website says it doesn't fit on 40i but I believe the grilles should be identical 40i vs M50i

I'm thinking of doing the same thing to my 2021 40i with extended Shadowline trim. Don't want chrome, but not sure how I feel about the black grill. Did you ever determine if this will fit?

I hear water spots are tough to get out of the cerium grey accents.

Quite true. Even just swiping my clean finger across a cerium panel for an M50i on the lot left a dark streak on it. Not good.

Hmmm. Maybe I'll just leave it black; I don't know. Just would be nice to have a little contrast against all those black louvers, especially when they are closed.

Not that I'm aware of but I'm sure the vehicle would be throwing error codes at you if it remained opened.
