So I decided to go the hybrid grill route to get back some of that slight contrast, but still keep the overall shadowline look that I like.

This is the OEM black grill with the OEM aluminum slats (took both grills apart to make this), which I think also goes nice with the factory running boards and wheels as well....

How did you combine the two grills? Thinking about doing something similar on mine, but chrome for the outside trim and leave the vertical slats black.

Karrint, we went extended shadowline - no regrets there.

Just compare these two...which do you prefer...luxury or sport/aggressive. I know they're only build pics, but it does give you a good sense of the looks.

I received it with the extended Shadowline, and am toying with the idea of swapping out just the black grill for satin aluminum/cerium grey. Car is alpine white.

I very carefully took the two stock grills apart. Not that difficult to do as the plastic tabs that hold them together are easily accessible. Just takes some patience.

it really helps reduce the visual impact of the acre of grille, and all around looks quite nice even when you're going for the full limo effect.

My only gripe was that the badges were cerium, so I bought black badges and now the only things not black or white on the outside are the blues of the badges and in the headlights
Which side mirror caps are those?

Here she is in her extended Shadowline.

Her name is "Bitch Tits." Inside
joke. Anyway, voice control she now responds to "hey bitch tits" instead of "hello BMW." And that's how it's done in our family....😬

What after market hitch did you go with? I assume it was bumper cut free?

I'm going with a stealth hitch. Bumper cut free, yes. Will be completely out of sight when not in use, and I'll keep the kick to open feature.

I'm interested to see how you go on about the towing package update and the wiring for that.

Please do share I'm on the fence between invisihitch and another brand.

Thanks for the response, i just watched the video.. absolutely clever.

Curious about integration with wiring though. I don't think i will need the wiring hookup as i may just have a bike/luggage platform at the most.
