I just had my mineral white (scroll back a couple posts for pics) ceramic coated and PPF applied at my favorite Bay Area detailer. Quality is great and prices reasonable, PM me for details if interested.

Posting some pics of our 2021 X7 40i delivery at the Performance Center yesterday. We had a great time and were really impressed with the instructors. I highly recommend choosing a Performance Center Delivery if you're able to go that route!
Once the PCD experience was over, we drove her straight to Extreme Colors Auto Spa for XPEL tint, cross country wrap, and ceramic coating. Patiently counting down the days until she's ready. I'll be reading posts and trying to pass the time while we wait... 2021 X7 40i Tanzanite Blue II Black Extended Merino Fineline Brown trim Options: Cold Weather Package Driving Assistance Professional Package Dynamic Handling Package Executive Package Luxury Seating Package Parking Assistance Package Aluminum running boards Anthracite Alcantara Headliner Leather Dashboard Trailer Hitch Space-saver spare |

Looks great! I like the luxury look...kinda wish I could get that look on the M50i. Ours is Arctic grey, with EST, and the 22" cerium wheels. Great sport/aggressive look, but the chrome is definitely growing on me a lot. If it were all Satin Chrome then I'd be hooked.
BMW should really let us mix and match all the exterior design options. Imagine an M50i with a full luxury exterior with the 22" multi-spoke wheels...hell of a sleeper. Last edited by Saejin; 10-20-2020 at 11:34 AM.. |

V8EBR, love your M50i! I reallllly wanted a V8 and nagged my husband for days (I'm the speed nut in the household). Our local dealer didn't have any to test drive so I couldn't get my husband to commit to one. At our PCD we were assigned an M50i. I now have his approval for it the next time we order.

Time wise, the cross country package is 1 day. They prep the car and install the wrap afterwards. So if you drop it off after PCD, you should be able to pick it up 2 days later. If their schedule allows, tint can be completed on the same day as the wrap. I initially wanted Ceramic Pro 5yr, but the process involves 2 coats and they have to be applied on separate days in order for it to cure properly. It would have added 3 days shop time aside from the wrap. Since we have to be back home by Saturday, I ended up opting for XPEL ceramic. It's 1 coat with a 4 yr warranty and only added 1 additional in shop day. Extreme is closed on weekends so keep that in mind when you're planning. I've listed out our schedule in case it helps. Monday Drop off after PCD Prep begins Tuesday Tint installed Cross country wrap installed Wednesday XPEL ceramic coat applied Thursday Vehicle ready for pick up |

Best car at the dump!
Got a few strange looks at the dump today. X7 did great towing about 6K in dump trailer and junk. The wireless brake controller is also very handy.
