I went with 22" wheels, so yes it's my own doing. I just couldn't get past the looks of the 21" wheel when compared to the 22", but also not a big fan of the cerium gray on the 22s. Again, BMW having a perfect wheel for the M50i / EST, but not offering it as an option.

So, I already decided I would do dedicated snow and summer tires for this vehicle. Really wanted to stick with BMW 22" wheels for winter, but can't find a set for a reasonable price yet. Now I'm looking for aftermarket options.

Any recommendations or feedback from someone who has also gone this route.
I also went 22" because I did not care for the 21" so I knew what I was going to get myself into. I personally don't like aftermarket wheels so that wasn't an option for me.

Ended up getting the 22" Pirelli Winter Scorpions. Getting them put on Nov 13.

Those are huge! Mine are being held at Discount Tire until my X7 arrives.

I really wanted to stick to OEM sizes. Can't wait to see how they perform in the cold weather. Hopefully close to being on par with the 21" Blizzaks, which I understand there are tradeoffs against but at least hoping the 22" Winter Scorpion perform waaaay better than the 21" All Seasons tires.

What tradeoffs are you referring to with 21" Blizzaks?

They are sitting at the dealer now waiting for me to have the time to swap them out. Dealer quoted $150 for the swap with TPM and balancing. Didn't seem to bad to me.
For $150, you can get a set of Huf TPMS from me and will save you another $150 the next time you need to swap it over again.

I purchased this same package for my 2019 X7 40i last year and they worked fine. I am about ready to put them back on for the winter.

Hi , new to the site.
I currently have ordered blizzak 285 50 R20 for my X7 M50i. I am wondering if or why nobody on here is running blizzard dmv2 275 50 r20 instead. A little narrower (same as stock front summer width). It is also closer circumference to the summer rubber . I know speed rating and load is slightly less but in winter in Canada I highly doubt I will come anywhere near those speeds.
