I got a Tag when I was on a European cruise - Royal Carribean
Got about a third off I think. Bicester Village has a Tag dealer that is good for "non current" models - good discounts can be had there. |

I actually got a reasonable discount on a Ladies datejust Rolex (about 12%) from a UK AD and I also got a discount of sorts off my Gold/Steel Rolex Submariner Date. The trade in value of my previous Steel sub date was only £450 less than I bought it for 8 years previously, which I thought was fairly decent.

I've got a Tag Heuer Aquaracer Chrono (stainless, black face with silver chrono dials and black rubber strap), and an Omega Seamaster (James Bond but not the tacky '007' edition - stainless with bracelet, blue face and bezel) and bought the wife (sorry, must say Miswah, nobody will know what I'm on about ) a stainless Omega Constellation with diamond set face and case. I sold my Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch a couple of years ago as the face scratches like crazy (the other Speedmasters are better as they have mineral sapphire glass and don't scratch. With the Moonwatch Omega were being slaves to history and the watch was inferior as a result IMHO).
She's promised me a Panerai for my 40th (in 3 and a half years - think she's hoping I'll forget!! Unlucky my dear, some things cannot be forgotten). Love watches me Pete, you submariners get paid too much - I think most of the ones I know have Rolexes!!! |

Ha ha, no offence taken, but that is exactly where I found this one, I have forwarded the pictures onto two TAG dealers today and both have said for definate that it is genuine, that it is a late 80's watch and in fantastic condition from the ten photo's I sent them, and a bargain at the price I paid and would both make me a profit on the watch - But I will be keeping this one as it will only appreciate due to its rarity.
I do like that TAG picture shown above.....mmmmm set me thinking again Thanks for all your help

Nice, i bought a tag on a whim on a holiday to barbados.
when shopping in bridgetown (tax haven) which has shit loads of jewellers etc, and picked up a tag carrera from Little Switzerland. I checked the UK price (after seeing the brad pitt advert) and it was 1700, paid a grand on the nose, so was happy! Just made sure I wore it back incase customs got nosey. |

The Carrera is a great looking watch.
As I said before I purchased my wife's watch in Dubai, and then stuck it deep in my bag and sent the box etc back by courier

OliH that is a great looking watch - congratulations.
I forgot in my previous post but I also have a 1990 2000 Series stainless (satin finish like the one you're getting) on the bracelet with a silver face, that my mum bought me (I think it cost £350 back then!!!), which has never missed a beat. |

Got a picture?
I believe my 'new' one was approx £1100 when new, but as it was a limited run, there is little or no details anywhere on it

Got my latest TAG (Aquaracer) from watchfinder.co.uk = good service and recommended. Most watches come with about 10% off. Some are sourced overseas but come with the original papers etc so have International Warranty etc. |
