That's exactly it! a buddy and I were invited to see it during the 8 series release. I'm not the target demographic but didn't look horrible in real life and it's the same exact interior of X5 and the 3rd row sitting makes the storage space a joke.

I think it will do well, until the new GLS with its dual screen setup comes out late next year.

good. I can't tell you how glad i am that this thing doesn't look like another Prada Purse on wheels. I can't stand all these tall hatchback looking cars calling themselves SUVs. This has the brute presence a proper SUV should have. (as does the X3 and X5). Nah I'm not in love with all of it, but the shape is right. I suspect I'd be in the market for an Msport in black, with blacked out grilles, and I'll be a happy man

BMW appears to be going back to their roots with the ginormous kidney grills.

I am surprised with all the negative comments here. I drive an X6 and it has enough room for my family of 5 but I certainly looked for a larger SUV when my last lease was up. GL550 looked nice but drove like a boat. X7 may be a real alternative if it drives better (possible?).

Viewed the X7 at a showing last month. It basically looks like the render. Inside and outside is very well designed. Front grills are huge and really stand out. They could of been a bit smaller. M sport looked very nice!

It just looks like a giant buck toothed beaver, not digging it at all, I have no idea why you'd choose that over a Range Rover.

I test drove a RRS new facelifted one and the car looks awesome (not to ve compared to the X7 more X5).... after the initial visual super impressions and more ressistance on the steering wheel (which i liked) i found it lacking. Super heavy car and with same engine as X5 a lot slower. Then all the tech and screens inside have wow factor for a few hours after i realized that its pretty useless (they do look amazing). Changing the language on the centre console unit does not change language on the dials! That had to be done separately. After a while I was dissapointed and am not even considering Rabge Rover for a while. The design of RRS and RR i find beautiful though.

I'm gonna hold out for the X12. Something to compete with the Ford F650...

Saw it last night at a viewing. Looks identical to rendering. Personally I like it, I'm glad they didnt make it look like a hyundai, as they have done with some of their other vehicles

Second row seemed comfy but they were bucket seats. 3rd row was tight and left no trunk space at all
