X7, Window Shades

Hello Members,

Is there a factory control setting (or hack over ride) allowing the window shades to remain up, with the windows down.

Not while driving of course, but while parked for ventilation....

Good question. That would be nice to keep the air flowing but the bugs out.

I think its obvious why they don't offer that. Driving at 80 MPH with the shades up and windows down would destroy them.

I asked a technician and they said unfortunately not. They don't have a fail-safe whereby you can have it out with windows down a full stop and close at speed. Imagine the number of open/close cycles if you did though.

It would not surprise me if you could code the function you want. But I would have no idea where to look as far as the correct coding parameters are concerned. You might want to pose the question on the G05 coding forum to see what may be out there...
