June OTA software update includes 3 new apps

Not enabled for full screen is a BMW choice rather than apple car play no? I can see why BMW made that choice though...

These update is pointless. Nothing important. BMW is not going to update your car in any significant way. They just release new idrive on new car. Yours will be outdated in term of tech in very near future. Although BMW is claiming they have OTA now, don't hold your breath on it. They ain't Tesla.

i'm enjoying the fact this aint a tesla quite much.

i enjoy the craftsmanship, being able to open the boot in the rain, etc.

That is right. You may know already, iDrive 7 has full screen. I don't think it is apple related. Seems like BMW implementation.

I wouldn't get my hopes up on iOS 13 increasing stability. My wife has a Chrysler Pacifica with CarPlay (only wired) and there are absolutely 0 issues, we have been using it for 1 year. BMW implementation has problems. Not sure it is because of wireless connection or just software though. I haven't tried wired CarPlay on mine.

The iOS 13 CarPlay looks much prettier though. They made it very similar to iDrive 7 home screen!

Would love if the update removed the 'Flickr' widget so i'd stop seeing images such as this when scrolling through split screen options. I've removed via 'Personalize' setting, but somehow it always manages to come back at some point.

Anyone have the same issue?

One thing I'm wondering is what it looks like with Google Maps running, on a trip, and in that new split-screen view. When Google Maps is taking up the left half of the screen, were do the boxes for the next turn and ETA go? Do they stay atop the Google Maps half of the screen or are they relocated to the right stack with the widgets?

Forgive the crude mockup made off of a screencap of your video. Is that what Google Maps looks like in that split screen view?
Or am I missing something entirely and Google Maps is not available in that split screen view?

Also, are those widgets on the right side configurable? Run with all 3 slots, cut it down to 2 slots, change the content, etc?
