oh and the nostrils are just too small on the LCI. We must get the top to bottom nostril (from new M3/4) onto this car. i mean - just imagine that gigantic gaping hole, must be beautiful.

I honestly don't know who is designing this new generation of BMW's but I miss the previous person who did. It started with the new 3 & 4 series, then the 2 Series, and now probably the most beautiful SUV that BMW has made is getting that touch too. I love BMW but with the recent designs and now the constant electrification of the new vehicles I am highly disappointed🤧

So they took the absolute best part of the current X7 design, the amazing headlights, and made them into Qashqai headlights - what the hell is going on in that design studio?!

Excited to see the other offerings with this design trend.

Why would the headlights be on in the daytime?

I just wanna see what it looks like with the headlights on that's all. Nighttime would be preferred. The 7 and XM had shots in the dark highlighting the drl but didn't have the laser lights on.

It's such a blank look now. I really can't believe BMW is really killing the angel eyes. IMO the BMW ruined the X7. The pre-LCI had this "you know this is a BMW" look and aesthetic. The LCI looks like it's trying standout but in the worse possible way. Thumbs down for me.

Looks better than I was expecting actually, looking forward to seeing it without all the chrome and a more aggressive bumper. Also wonder what changes are on the inside…

Now that the new Range Rover will have the V8 BMW engines, I wonder if people will buy a Range Rover instead…

Doubt it. Jaguar Land Rover sales reps aren't going to be saying "hey, this Range Rover is now powered by a BMW engine!" like that's supposed to help sales. On the flip side, IYKYK and ain't no BMW engine going to help save the rest of the car. We can laugh and joke about German reliability but the entire Range Rover brand embodies what s--t reliability is.

This is anecdotal, but no one I know buys a Range Rover because they want a Range Rover. They do it because they can make easy money buy transferring their lease after 6-8 months.

Looks acceptable but not a BMW look. If the option sucks I don’t see a thumb up from me… will have to check it out in person later this year

Not as ghastly as renders, but still just unnecessary and gimmicky. I don't see why BMW's iconic angel eyes needed to replaced for this unconventional shit.

Save for the 3-series, 5-series, X3, and X5, I can't think of a single BMW without some sort of controversial/overstyled design theme.

Maybe they're planning to surprise us all by revealing angel eyes in the full/lower headlight. That would make things interesting.

I don't know, to me the 3er LCI will become sort of bastardized with the new headlight (which is not BMW in anyway) and the 5er with the L headlights isn't terrible but also removed any BMW identity the 5er once had save for the grilles.

True regarding the 3er. I think 5er has had L-shaped lights for many years. E34 had em too. It's a classic BMW design trait.
