Question M50D r20 winter wheels?

Hi folks, I bought a beautiful white X7 M50D on 22s summer wheels.
Winter is coming, and I am planning to spend it in the mountains, where we have rough snowy conditions quite often. Looking at the winter BMW wheels, the minimum is R21, but I would like to go the R20 route with beefier tires. Can someone tell me if R20s will fit on the M brakes? Thx beforehand.

Just installed a set of 20" wheels on my '22 X7 M50i with squared up 275/50R20 Michelin CrossClimate2 tires. Wheels are Drag DR76 20x9 with 5x112 bolt pattern and 22mm offset. No clearance or rubbing problems with MSport brakes. Tire diameter difference is only about 0.5%, so speedo and odo impact is negligible.

If you're heading into 3000 meter elevation territory, it's hard to overkill on tires. Not sure which BFG AT model you're installing, but a 3MPSF rated tire will be a better choice than one that's rated M+S. If your 20" wheels are winter use only, have you considered winter tires?

R20s will be winter-only wheels.

before, I always used 'regular' winter tires, something like Nokian Hakkapeliitta R5

however, this winter, I plan to spend a lot of time in the mountains, so I thought I'd get something more off-roady with beefier tire tread

What PSI are you running on these tires? I have a set of 285/50R/20 Blizaak's I am getting mounted next week and wanted to see what others are doing for tire pressure since they typically go off of the recommended numbers on the car sticker which is the recommendation for the OEM 22" staggered setup.

A quick update on winter wheels.
BFG KO2s were not delivered in time as promised.
Ended up with a set of 285/50/20 Michelin X Ice Snow SUVs, both M&S & 3Peaks tire.
Rims are 9.5 +40
No rubbing in any condition has been noticed so far.
Wheels sit flush with arches and just enough clearance everywhere. Seems like a max tire size for the car.

@[Romanzz] as to your question on pressures, I use 2.2 FR and 2.4 RA

Be good to see some photos please.
I'm on 21" staggered winter set up with my X7M50D.
