Apple CarPlay works maybe 50% of the time. I’ve got the iPhone 15 pro.
Even a full reboot doesn’t usually fix it.
Then I drive freezes up too. Great car minus that

I truly believe it's the iPhone more than the BMW, but who knows. I have the 15 Pro too and it does some strange stuff. Stuff my old iPhone 12 wouldn't do. And I mean asides from CarPlay. Like Safari freezing up on me and searching for contacts not working. I think they rolled it out before it was ready. I'm sure they'll start rolling out updates and every time they do our phones will have to be reconnected to get CarPlay to work.

Lowly iPhone 14 here with same issues on iDrive 8.5. Disconnecting and volume that is imperceptible at times. Had to move to bluetooth connection for the time being. Will see what happens with updates.

Well, i guess it realistically is an issue with both BMW and Apple....
