tunes in this range (crank over 500hp) will swing a good 30-40hp, sometimes more, just for the difference between 91 and 93 octane. I wouldn't be surprised if your car was adjusting a bit more aggressive with a more stable fuel

Wondering what others use in the X7?
Cheapest gas available usually 87 octane have also put 86 couple of times cause only that was available. 22k miles in 9 months no issues.

But geeze, if I wanted to save money, would have just saved a lotta money and gotten a Kia telluride.

I haven't accumulated enough miles on my X7 to comment on it, but my experiences with my Lexus SUVs (1 GX470 and 2 LX570s) is that tooling around town at 40mph never seemed to make much difference in fuel economy, but at expressway speed of 70 mph, there was a noticeable drop of about 2-3 mpg.

With both my X7 and G550 being turbos, I don't try to economize. I fill-up only once a month, and with 91 octane costing about $.50 more per gallon, I don't worry about the $10/tankful.
