I like it. We have a 3-½ hour drive to our vacation property and it will keep a McDonalds drink filled with ice the entire way. In other words the ice won't melt nearly as fast. Haven't tested the heat function yet. So I'd get it if it was bundled or as a stand alone option of about $200. Any more and it's not worth it.

Does the cooling feature keep your drink cold in summer heat?

Does the heating feature keep your coffee warm in the cold winter?

Thanks all!
I will place a bottle of Water inside and it will be fairly cold at the bottom, I guess if you shake few times the temperature will equilize
This is what I've found as well for short trips. I was pleasantly surprised on longer trips that it keeps the bottle of water pretty cold. Haven't tried the heat setting yet.

Can anyone get me the wiring diagram for the thermoelectric cup holder.
I'd like to find out if it is routed through the computer or a stand-alone item that can be put in any car it fits.

Thank you.

Looks like it's connected to the LIN bus and requires coding. However, it doesn't require a separate control module to be installed. So not sure if it'd work on an i4.

The design of the storage compartment above the cupholders is also different. You'll notice in the pictures that the standard cupholders have a vertical phone charger and some storage to the side; the thermoelectric cupholders have the wireless charging pad oriented horizontally and no storage space. Not sure if you can get the different storage area part for the i4.

My X7 (just bought it last week) has this feature. Is it safe to put rubber coasters in the bottom? Does just the one element heat or cool? Thanks.
