2nd Row Storage

I have a 2024 X7 xDrive40i with captain's chairs. I was wondering if there is some form of storage console available that can be inserted between the captain's chairs. Thanks for any suggestions.

You're looking for a 2nd storage area for the 2nd row captain's chairs? IIRC there is a storage area under the cup holders...it is not between the captain chairs though. It's lower than the seats. Maybe Amazon has one that fits in between the captain's chairs.

Thanks Brigitte. I am not finding a storage compartment under the rear center cup holders. There is a small storage area slightly above and forward of the cup holders. Maybe I have been cheated

I had looked on Amazon and didn't see anything but may not have used the right search terms.

I saved notes about it...I can't find the youtube video I watched. According to my notes: there is a tray underneath the cup holders that you pull out. The reviewer referred to that tray as a storage area. If i find that youtube video I'll post it..

OK thanks for checking. I guess it is also possible they changed the configuration.

I found a youtube video that briefly talked about it. I don't think this is the same video I watched before...the other one was more detailed.

So there is nothing under the cup holders? When I watched that other video I remember saying to myself that the tray is hidden..it's hard to see. I think he pulled it out...however, I'm not 100% sure.

I think the posted video is referring to the space under the vents.

I think OP is looking for something that fits between the captains chais and has meaningful space.

I’ve seen other cars with this space fill it with a front seat type armrest (cushioned top opens to large compartment). Before buying this we rented a number of QX80 s and they have a great storage space between the seats in the second row. We bought the bmw backseat protectors (protects back of front seat) a nd those have a good amount of storage , though not quite the same as what you’re looking for. If you go the backseat protector route- there are a few options out there. If you go with the bmw ones, shop around as the prices vary by site.

Here are other things that may be closer to way at you’re looking for, though seem made for bench seats and not the gap in captains.

If it is there, I am not finding it. I'll take another look tomorrow in daylight. Maybe another 2024 owner can comment.

Thanks for your help! That is the "small" storage area I was referring to slightly above and forward of the cup holders. I used your suggested search terms and was able to find some possibilities on Amazon.

I have added the picture of the space between the 2nd row seat. It would be nice if we can find something which can be used as a storage. I also do not like that the BMW all weather mat is not covering this space. I wish they had a mat which covers this space for the 6 seat configuration.

re: the mat. Weathertech has one that goes through the middle and, along with the 3rd row mats, is the reason we chose them over the BMW mats.

Hello friend,

After a lot of research and try I found the right second row console box to fit perfect in between the Captain chairs of the X7 M60i. Just take out the bottom detachable base and it will perfectly fit. Here is the description from Amazon..
