2024 BMW X7 Main infotainment display random shutdown

Model: 2024 BMW X7 xDrive40
Date Purchased : 18th Oct 2023
Current Software: 7/2023.40

Issue: Main screen of the infotainment system goes blank and resets. It happens either just after ignition or during the middle of the drive.

Frequency : 1-2 times/day

Other information : Issue seems to occur more if there is a longer time gap between door unlock and ignition, i.e. door unlock --> take 3-4mins to put kids in car seat /load trunk etc --> ignition.

Any advice or suggestion, do I take it to the dealer ?

Highly likely your head unit needs to be replaced. Not sure why, this is a common issue with Head Unit High 5 (HU-H5) devices. It's also possible your screen is faulty. Dealer needs to inspect it.
