My wife's 40i. Won't mod it but I've done some spirited driving in it. The X7 will be a force to be reckoned with!

The F85 is headed for the glue factory. At 55k miles she's undesirable. The M5C will be in port stateside on 3/3.

Very sweet ride.

So what does this do? Is it a clear film on the front windshield to filter out IR? Does it work ok with the sensors on and near the windshield?

And I'm curious what audio system you have, that you're looking to upgrade. Pretty sure Bavsound doesn't have any upgrades for us yet in the X7, but will follow with great interest anyone that does upgrades.

Thanks!

- Yes the front windshield tint blocks out heat but also harmful IR and such. They have a 90% version as well that is pretty much invisible. I wanted it a tad darker than stock so that's why I opted with 70%.

I have the stock HK system. It sounds great as it is but missing some good bass at loud volumes. This is actually the best HK system I've had in any of my BMWs so far.

BLVK is another way for us to creatively write the color black but it also stands for - Be Loyal, Valued, Kind.

I thought that there is electronic option to define exhaust sound? You can set as per mode or all the time sport mode, am I missing something?

I am assuming you are taking about the Laser Headlights - I don't have that on my car. If you are talking about the Assisted Driving/Cruise Control, it doesn't affect it at all as well as HUD is unaffected. Hope that helps.

Yeah - You can code all time sport mode but I wanted the sound in comfort mode as well which is why I took off the flange.

That helps a lot thanks

I was talking about low angle haze (LAH)

Best Noticeable when the sun rays hit the car windows directly before noon and around sunset creating a haze "milky" effect on the ceramic tinted windows.

The darker the shade, the more visible.

Had it with solar Gard Ultra High Performance (UHP) was really annoying at times but heat and glare reduction was amazing.

Thought they'd fixed it with the new film and wanted to get your feedback about it. 😊

Again, you can have sport mode sound while driving in comfort. There I am not so clear why you had to modify the system.

OP wanted the real sound.

Beautifully done! Looks very nice. I have the same exact car and loving it.

How do you get the exhaust delete done exactly? Is there a step by step procedure? And is the difference noticeable and close to the sound we hear at cold start?

It was NOT an easy task but I needed to do this as my kids are now doing so many sports and activities, it made more sense to have my own SUV on the weekends (wife has a Model X).

I tried really really hard (not) to only just TINT my X7 but of course, the mod bug never goes away..

This is my first SUV that I drive daily so it was a huge change for me and I wasn't sure if I would love it like my previous cars. My previous cars were so much easier to modify as well and that brought a lot of fun and good times.

I came from..
G35 Sedan (Totalled)
G37 Sedan
Lexus GS350
BMW M5 (F10)
Tesla Model S P90D
Lexus GS-F
BMW M5 (F90)
https://f90.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1566307

One thing for sure is, I absolutely fell in love with the X7.... For anyone considering an X7,
- Super Spacious compared to the likes of GLS/Range Rover
- Ultra Quiet Interior - even quieter than an S-Class
- Super Comfortable Ride but also still good feel on the road.
- Still quick considering it is an SUV, but then again I have a 50i.

The build (All done by RG Sport - Irwindale, CA - Ben) - HIGHLY recommend all BMW locals in So Cal to use Ben, he has been nothing but phenomenal and is HIGHLY skilled/knowledgeable around BMWs.

2019 X7 - 50i - MSport Package
- Rear Trim Black Out
- Rear Emblem Delete
- Exhaust Trim Black Out
- Exhaust Valve Delete
- Front Sidemarker Black Out
- OEM Black Front Grill
- SolarGard Vortex IR Film - 15 Front / 25 Rear
- 3M Crystalline Front Windshield 70
- RaceChip GTS w/ Bluetooth
- RG Sport Lowering Links
- Vossen HF3 Matte Black 22" - Factory Specs but aggressive offsets
- BimmerCode Coding for VIM, Alpina Dash, and much more!

Future Planned Mods:
- JL Audio 12" Subwoofer Box & Amp
- Full Nardo Grey Wrap (Still looking for a reputable company)
- BavSound Upgrades for Speakers
- Roof storage from Yakima

Here is a shoot we just did for Vossen... ENJOY and KEEP MODDING!

Thanks! - I would defer this to r33_RGSport to answer but we removed the flange that opens and closes when going between modes. I am not sure how they did it, but you can message them.

In terms of the sound, the difference is very noticeable and is very similar to the sound you hear at cold start.

Can you bring the full specs on those wheels please? I mean, it's 22s, I get it, but what width, ET? And what tires were used for them?

You can see the specs (width and et) in this for sale ad.

I just bought these exact same wheels from Vossen but changed the offsets a little.
