So, I assume everyone else's X7 tightens the seatbelt around 1 minute after you start driving the car? It happens to the passenger seat too. Feels weird, but I'm slowly getting used to it.

Anyway, today I was sat at traffic lights for around 3 mins and suddenly the seatbelts tightened (driver and passenger) and the sunroof cover began to close. No warnings on the dash, no other signs. I stopped the sunroof cover and reopened it then drove off. No other weird behaviour after that. I remember reading something in the manual about the car closing sunroof and doing other stuff in the event of an accident. Not sure if that is related to this.

Has anyone else had this?

Could you have pushed/held the lock button on the remote in your pocket?

Good question - by unlikely as I was using the display key.

Yeah, I find this odd about modern BMW's too. Think it's distracting.
