quick question to all you cca experts! I have purchased a bunch of BMWs over the last 15 years. I honestly have never signed up for cca, and yes, I have left a lot of money on the table by not doing so.. so shame on me...

I just ordered an X7 and while I wait for delivery, I thought about signing up for cca and doing the 3 year membership. I understand, from what I have read, that by doing so, within 15 days of ordering and/or receiving the new vehicle, I qualify for the $1000 or $1500 rebate which will be sent to me by cca later. Is this correct? or did I misread this?

Yes that’s basically right. Think you need to take delivery before you apply for rebate. And it’s 1k I think last I checked

You have sixty days to postmark the rebate application after taking delivery. And you do need to join for three years to have immediate eligibility for the rebate.

If my lease is dated 5/20 and I sign up for a 3yr membership today will I be able to apply still or did I miss the boat?

According to the website you have 15 days to sign up for a 3 year CCA membership from the official date of your purchase or lease. And you have 60 days to submit an application for the rebate.

The question is what is your actual lease date? What is noted on the lease agreement? You will need to submit proof of document in order to qualify.

My local BMW dealer said that my purchase date is the date I take delivery of the vehicle. (which I am still waiting for) As long as that delivery date is noted as the purchase date, then I am good because I just signed up.

Need to check your lease agreement. If is says your lease agreement started on May 20th and you haven't signed up for CCA within the last 15 days, then you may have missed the boat if you sign up now. Check your lease.

I finally got the check yesterday. The rebate is not a hoax! Now should I put it toward winter tires/ wheels or do the black roof and wheel spacers???

Jealous! I am still waiting for my rebate from December. I think I am going to ask that they send me one of those massive checks so I can pose for a picture if/when I get it. It will feel like such a prize!

Yes, mpop302 , I thought the CCA rebate was $1,000? How'd you get $1,500?

the rebate is 1500 for the 7 series, and that's what he ended up buying

Ah yes, you replied before I posted my question, too.

https://www.bmwcca.org/vehicle_rebate

I do see that it is $1,500 for 7er and 8er sedans.

(not to nit pick BMW, but if the X7 really is a 7-level luxury vehicle, it should receive a $1,500 rebate as well)

You all are second class citizens! Haha jk.

I was searching for a large car, but couldn’t pass up the deal I got on a new 7. 92.9k, msport, led roof, Singapore gray with blacked out chrome accents, ivory interior all for 0das, 0msd and $680 a month. One three row vehicle in the family will do for now, in two years I imagine I’ll be cross shopping the x7, gls and upcoming Escalade. I like the members in this sub forum, so I hope to contribute back to this community in one way or another
