I am picking mine up tonight. (Super excited) Last night I was at a bbq at our neighbors house. The house right by them had an x7 in their garage! They just picked it up the night before. I thought I was going to be the first in our neighborhood. Guess not.

Drove from Orlando, Florida to Charlotte this weekend and saw "ZERO" X7. I am guessing X7 must be sitting at dealers. I do know that leases are too steap for most folks who are looking for a family soccer vehicle.

I haven't seen any of them around my area. DW and I were eating lunch Sunday and had parked the car away from everyone else to prolong the inevitable first scratch. We could see the car from the restaurant and a few people driving by were definitely checking it out. One guy took a couple of pics. Definitely sticks out.

Live in the suburbs, already seen 4 or 5 of them, and 2 of my neighbors have one, see them everyday at the elementary school carpool.

Saw my first one “in the wild” the other day, coming back on a Starbucks run (walk). When I first saw it, from a distance—to someone’s earlier point—I wasn’t sure whether it was an X5 or X7, but as it got closer, I could tell that it was the larger variety. The missus and I got ours submitted last week, and are now eagerly anticipating its arrival, which should be shortly after projected build completion, which is 6/11. Not sure how long after that it will be at our dealer, but as we are located in Chattanooga, TN, not too far from Spartanburg, I wouldn’t think it would be a terribly long time after build completion. I think I might be more excited than missus, and it’s her car!

I keep seeing the same white one in my town in Westchester County. Everyone here drives BMWs, Audis, MBs, and Subarus. Thought it was one of my neighbors but it wasn't. That white one was just visiting. I have not seen another one yet and I drive 100 miles each day to/from work in NY.

Then you and I should drive by each other today so we can each claim to have seen one.
It's now been 2 weeks since I asked the question and still no X7's have driven past me, so that makes a whopping 7 weeks of driving in a very affluent part of a densely populated metropolis and I'm still the only X7 I've ever seen on the road. Something's up. I realize it's expensive and isn't going to be as prevalent as the $299 leased 3 Series I see everywhere, but this makes no sense. |

I've seen one every day I drop my boys off at school. One on the freeway and one parked at the Great Wolf Lodge (Anaheim area) and that's it, unless you count the X750 dealer loaner I'm currently driving.

There are roughly 7000 on the road today and a car industry that sells 17m vehicles per year. There are 341 dealers in the USA and the LA area has 19. Meaning the average dealer has sold around 21. Statistically there are few cars out there. We have seen a few in our area and saw 2 in 1 day. |
